Рулс, хотя и старается во всём мимикрировать под живого, не спит. Но периодами он невольно впадает в состояние, близкое к летаргии. «Замирает» он, как ни странно, обычно в вертикальном положении, и зачастую со стороны невозможно сразу понять, что он на самом деле не бодрствует. В бессознательном состоянии контролировать своё тело духа, вернее сказать, оставшуюся в посмертное наследие его душе оболочку, увы, Рулс не может, и все признаки морского чудовища, которым он в нынешней своей форме является, проявляются сами по себе. Лишь немногие придворные знают про эти «приколы», и горе-утопленника со всеми его странностями воспринимают нормально: на суше и вдали от источников воды Рулс в любом случае нейтрален.

мало занимательный факт: Рулс адаптирован мною так, что он заменяет слова в речи на церковнославянские синонимы (знаю, это весьма костыльный аналог РСА, но меня всё устраивает). Лансер понимает его речь в лучшем случае только наполовину, но он всё равно общается с Рулсом так, будто никакого языкового барьера между ними нет.
