events i believe would have objectively improved the world building of naruto
the uchiha successfully complete their coup and purge the dissidents (itachi) on their way becoming a junta
the sand village never recieves the cooperation offer from orochimaru and decides to overthrow their monarch instead, instead replacing him with a loyal puppet ruler
yahiko sticks around long enough to discover maoism and turns the og akatsuki into a guerilla fighting force
obito still gets his paid for hire goons (the akatsuki we meet in the show) but they take far longer to accomplish their goals and frequently beef with the og akatsuki to get access to nagato & his rinnegan
kiri revolt against the brainwashed mizukage but fail to form a successful government so now kiri is basically a lawless no man's land with several factions ruling territory each
iwa continues to tolerate deidara's anarchist terror operations as deidara never gets recruited into obito's group
kumo claims to not harbor any criminals but frequently is involved in coups so they have an excuse for their bloated military budget
orochimaru's head on a spike after a prison revolt
the peasantry ultimately decides the ninja villages and their daimyos are useless at protecting their lands so they get starved into submission after a brief civil war period
naruto but kishimoto reads at least two books on how war the military and feudalism in east asia actually worked irl
