I have an odd & hopeful feeling that NJZ will persevere despite everything

Honestly most of this feeling comes from just how much weird ass kpop stans (ESPECIALLY armys) be twisting their words and misunderstanding the entire case. The way they be dragging these girls (who are the only victims in the entire situation btw) for no other reason than the odd way they equate hybe to bts/other hybe groups. The way they think an attack on hybe = an attack on bts is genuinely concerning. I wholeheartedly believe that company Stans are under a group psychosis.
I just don’t understand why people constantly paint them as villains on the basis of the manager/bowing situation when the girls themselves never mentioned the group in question (illit) but belift did… ontop of the fact that the njz girls themselves have said that they understand the other girls’ position and didn’t want them involved at all?? I’m just so confused as to HOW people are twisting their intentions when its been in our faces since this blew up. And even ignoring the greetings fiasco, people act like them speaking up in the first place was an oh so terrible thing to do. Soo what I’m actually hearing from that is that yall want idols to speak up and be real until they actually do! Then all of a sudden they’re ungrateful liars. Right..
The constant doomposting on their return and career just gives that yall have been waiting for this moment lol. Like so many people have been waiting for them to slip up in any way since they’ve been at the top of their game with no serious controversies, and it’s just sad how many slanderous articles (iirc around 2-3k++) from hybes pr team have been pushed about them and kpop stans just eating up their slop. Like what ever happened to the idea that every kpop company was doodoo cheeks? I thought we were on the same page! People are making documentary-like videos to “explain” the situation in an “unbiased” manner, while in the same breath calling Hanni a “pretty criminal” for her visa/foreigner status pushed by racist headlines (I’m looking at you ‘the haniverse’ bobble headass bitch)
I get thinking that them going back to ador/hybe might be the better option considering how courts are acting, but do you genuinely think a company thats been and currently is pushing negative articles about them 24/7 would protect them and treat them nicely especially after their legal disputes? Where even before the girls themselves spoke out, the company sent trainee videos to dispatch of them dancing suggestively in heels as minors? A company where their internal staff slanders them during break time lmao? Like is that really a company that has their best interests because it sure as hell doesn’t look like that
ALSO the reaction to them and that hakyeon boy from tbz is so different its actually insane. Dude is suing for rumors that he engaged in prostitution and is called brave, justified, and courageous but NJZ speak up on the toxic workplace and they’re called ungrateful, leeches, and dumbos? (amongnst all different types of slut-shaming but whats new with stans) Sure, he’s justified in going after rumor-mongers but obviously he and the AV actress would deny prostitution since its illegal in roponggi. Not to mention that when the company caught him he said that he lied about sleeping with her to look cool. So that deserves more grace & praise than a group of teenagers who speak up on mistreatment & intentional leaks from their parent company? Kpop stans and their tolerance for male idols never ceases to amaze me no matter how long I’ve been a fan of the genre lol
I understand that as much as I see odd people that attack them, I see just as many people that know nothing about the case which makes them more prone to negative articles and hybe stans. But it’s just so difficult to see what’s actually happening when you get jumped for saying anything slightly positive on njz 😭 And my thing is, armys keep saying that “BTS built that company from the ground up” and yeah thats 100% true, but why are you blaming the girls and not the greedy execs that actually ruined “what they built” ? The girls speaking up isn’t whats ruining the company I promise you, maybe consider what led them to speak up in the first place
Just all in all, although courts don’t look to be in their favor, I have a huge feeling that they’ll be okay. I dont know how to explain it I just believe they’ll be okay and I’ve never felt this positively about a situation that looks as bad as it does 😭 They’re genuinely talented and had such a great team behind them, and as much as stans like to downplay them, their impact in just 2 years was insane. Like you have the whole 5th gen trying to recreate them to no avail lmaoo
Remember as deranged as you think you might be, a hybe stan (or any company stan but hybe stans have something special about them) is way worse off than you <3

#trust we did not forget the complete industry flip that came after their debut#its too early for them to turn into legends#and no matter how much greedy corpos and delusional stans try to drag them down i believe that’ll turn into good karma for the girls#kpop#kpop rant#newjeans#njz#tbz#cha hakyeon#theboyz#kpoptarot#newjeans tarot#hybe#sm#stans#hope and love#honestly dont know the general consensus on njz here specifically so im either gonna get dragged#flop or succeed LMAO

Kiss of life is disgusting and very racist no matter which way you cut it and I’m so sick and tired of kpop stans trying to sugarcoat and frame it in a nice way like they aren’t “that bad.” They’ve been corny since they were ripping off tyla and black women twerking (with no ass material btw) with their corny ass fans calling it inspiration. I will truly never understand the selfishness that not just kiof, but damn near every k-group has to rip off black culture for millions of dollars while simultaneously spitting in those same people’s face.
What REALLY sent me was the apology from the **company**. So confident in taking inspiration from black people yet can’t even say “black people/black culture” in the statement. Trying to pass it off as a “hiphop themed birthday” meanwhile the reference photo was not even a rapper, hip hop group, or nothing; it was just random black men on the street with hats on. Are we fr??????
Its disgusting, shameful, and they should actually be getting dragged more!
#the racism doesn’t just go away#and i don’t have the energy to go on another tangent about julie’s past offense but shes getting wacked for that too#and theres still people defending them lmao#they going to hell right with kiof#kiof#kiss of life#kpop rant#Kpop#hip hop#i’m mad

The problem is that America has beaten down its people for decades and gotten them weak and desperate and now promises a way out, a way to transcend and rise above, through selling out their fellow man. They encourage contempt and hatred as one way ticket to not being included with the masses being death marched to poverty or imprisonment or whatever other bitter end surely awaits the people they’re told are beneath them. An embarrassingly large chunk of white men are just straight up nazis these days as a way to dissociate from the rest of the carnage around them, even if they’re broke and uneducated and from an impoverished background themselves. They’ll vote for and align themselves with anything for a taste of power and control that makes them feel a little less helpless. The same goes for minorities. They’ll punch down if they think it’ll get them somewhere, even if in reality they’re punching sideways. I don’t know what else to say, really. Everybody is so incredibly hateful. We are a loveless, disrespectful nation. We are so spread thin by our government that we would sell each other out in a heartbeat for an ounce of relief. This is what we’ve come to.
It’s not even about Trump at this point. He’s gonna get in office and do whatever he does and it’s gonna be a mess but whatever. This is indicative of deeper problem. This is just the ugly consequence of the already present reality in this country that we all just despise each other. There is no solidarity and there is no love. Trump being in office or not doesn’t change the fact that America is a breeding ground for violent hatred. Trump has given people a shining example of how to give in to the worst parts of your human nature and make it the problem of everyone around them. I don’t even know what we’re supposed to do about that. I don’t know if that’s something we can come back from. And if anything COULD be done about it, Trump certainly wouldn’t do it. Honestly, Kamala probably wouldn’t have either. We are so deeply fucked.
However, I must say, if you voted for Trump, I hope that peace never finds you. Instead, I hope clarity strikes you someday like a clap of lightning and you have to live the rest of your life with the knowledge and guilt of what you’ve done and who you are as a person.
Love yall. Shit is so bleak but the world keeps spinning until it doesn’t, I guess. We can’t count on the government for literally even a shred of progress or hope so just keep up the good fight in your own personal lives. That’s literally the only thing to be done at this point. Stay safe out there. Maybe buy a gun.

Will forever blow my mind how SM will bend to THESE people. I will never understand. Should’ve spent all that money used on the wreaths on psychotherapy instead.

Just passing by, but I saw your post and I just wanted to say I actually also thought to myself earlier that Lsm probably would've kept him. Not saying LSM is perfect, but it's pretty obvious things have changed in the company the last couple of years... Idk. I worry about everyone still on the label honestly. (You don't have to post this if you don't want to, I just wanted to say I agree.)
I’m glad someone else agreed with that part. I do absolutely despise LSM, i’ve been a follower of SM groups for years and I hate soo many of his decisions over time. But honestly, the current SM management is by far the worst its ever been. Its like any good parts of the former management left were just thrown out the window and the artists are reaping the consequences. The already small amount of protection artists got is down to zero now. LSM always stuck with his artists (for better or worse). But he would especially stand with his artists when the parasocial freaks were going insane over relationships, which is precisely what happened with seunghan. Ontop of that he had great concepts/visions for groups that often times succeeded and set those groups apart from their peers. I would much rather have LSM’s old ass come back than whatever the hell is going on in that company right now. He’s a piece of shit, but I doubt he would’ve let this escalate this far.
Riize is one of the worst handlings of a group I’ve ever seen in my long years of following kpop, and it just so happens they were the first group to be created & handled completely under the new SM system.
#i’m open to any opposing viewpoints#just putting my thoughts on that#old management was way better#even with its past faults#which is crazy to me#riize#seunghan#sm entertainment#lsm#kpop#kpop rant

I have way too many thoughts on this seunghan situation and i got no where else to put them so imma dump my shit here:
It’s gonna be extremely hard for RIIZE to grow internationally under SM following this.
SM doesnt understand that riize will never be a proper “global group” if they dont listen to the voices of GLOBAL fans. if thats the case, stop promoting them as such. Stop giving them global brand deals, stop doing tours here, stop coming to the west entirely. Just stick to korea and its warped perception of what makes a “good idol.”
Y'all want global groups, global recognition, get into the western market, chart on billboard, want k-pop to be taken serious and elevate it but you can't do basic shit right and you're outdated as fuck. You want foreign recognition but dont wanna deal with foreign sensibilities. A group aiming for global success while simultaneously basing all their decisions on local outrage will never work.
And this isn’t setting a new precedent, its only cementing the precedent thats existed in k-pop for decades. SM has always enabled crazed fans and bullies for decades now instead of taking action and protecting their artists. This is unfortunately very on brand for them (however I still do think lsm would’ve kept seunghan but alas).
It was the ot6 “fans” acting like the decision to have him back in the group wasnt agreed upon by everyone else in the group for me. Cause how are you gonna be like “ooouuu but the other 6 members ouuu” well they wanted him back in SO WHAT NOW? Now they’re stuck with crazy ass fans thinking they own them, and I doubt they (the members) will ever see their fans the same way ever again. The fanbase has controlled so many of their moves its insane. First they didnt like the original fandom name so it was changed in 2 days along with an apology, announced a lightstick but they didnt like it so they pulled back the announcement and revealed a redesign, changed the hairstyling team because fans complained the styles were too different/outdated, now they kicked out an entire member because of the backlash? Wtf?
And I know for a fact briize will try to boycott and unless yall actually stand on business (which i doubt), its gonna fall flat. Cause lets not forget the amount of infighting that occurred during the hiatus period when people were only *discussing* boycotting. Talkin about “oh what about the other members” and “oh but the numbers.” The reason ot6 antis won SM over is because they saw that shit through, now look what happened.
Ima also need yall to stop saying the hate in korea was a “loud minority” because absolutely the fuck not. It was a loud majority of kfans and cfans advocating for his removal and poor health. Looking at the 1000+ death/funeral wreaths with seunghan’s name on it outside the SM building was absolutely heart wrenching, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the final straw for him among the other thousands of hate tweets with tens of thousands of likes on ktwt. As much as I’d love to have him in riize again, he deserves so much better than a company that doesnt protect him against that sheer amount of vitriol. I hope with everything in me that he has a proper support system.
I honestly have no idea how riize will move forward from this. They’ve lost a great majority of their international fanbase, and killed a lot of people’s interest in the group. I have never seen a company fumble the bag worse. Even though sohee is the first male idol i’ve really liked in a long time, I cant see myself interacting with riize in any way in the future.

sorry but i fear i will never actually get over the fact that sohee’s official emoji is a british guard like i know the reason why and its a smart idea but it’s so hilarious to me everytime i think about it. i never thought i’d live to see the day an idol unironically used a british royal guard as their official emoji but here we are.. it will always bring the nastiest giggle out of me😭😭
#had me genuinely thinking he was british while getting into riize#the plushie may look ugly to you now but listen…#the longer you look at it the cuter it gets#slightly menacing too#the sohee energy is strong here..#riize#sohee#riize sohee#sohee riize#lee sohee#kpop

I completely agree with you. Sohee is so damn good looking and I have no idea how people are calling him ugly. He’s like the cutest dude in the world. He’s the only man I’ve ever willingly called adorable with my full heart. I literally forced my friends to stan him at least a little
right! I too was honestly so confused when I saw people calling him ugly bc when I was checking out the new riize members for the first time (apart from smrookies) he caught my attention the most, which is surprising in itself cuz I’m usually very picky when it comes to male idols and their visuals. It was also a pleasant surprise he was the main vocalist of the group so that gave him like +20 points cuz I love myself a SINGER. I’m glad talk saxy got some people finally seeing the vision tho cuz hes really just a cute guy, he pisses off so many people for no reason it’s comedic at this point lmao
#people have preferences i guess#but some people do entirely too much like no one is forcing you to stan him!#riize#sohee riize#kpop

this is what ive been thinking even before love 119, and they better choose excellent songs to go w/ it! I think they’re just waiting for seunghan to comeback (call me delusional but i really do think hes coming back after seeing the letters the other riize members have been liking on weverse)
genuinely hope that riize don’t turn into the normani of k-pop, the way aespa almost did (crazy how they still don’t have a proper studio album after 3 years?!). like i love their singles but they need to release a mini album. we do not need to wait for a year for a mini album, we shouldn’t! and i know albums take time and care, but i just hope that sm has one in the works for q1/q2 of 2024. they need a cohesive body of work to solidify all the hype & attention they’re getting. we need a fresh and new title track, with an irresistible b-side(s) that will trend all over social media, to make sure our boys get the recognition they deserve. I NEED MY RECESSION POP AND 2000’s R&B MINI ALBUM.
#they kinda need him to contrast sohee and wonbins vocals#looking forward to it regardless though#the a&r department better pull thru!#riize

case study A like the material is THERE mamas the face is giving, the styling is giving, the poses, everything. you cannot convince me sohee doesn’t belong in a boyband that peaked in the 1980s
