Crime data, graphs, suspiciously recognizable reoccurring names, and an (alleged) conspiracy? What more could you want?

Anyway, I just had to do a quick doodle to share some of the fun I had picturing everything going on behind the scenes, the ongoing debates happening in the Justice League and then in scientific journals with most of the academic community being none the wiser.

New fic alert!! First time writing anything other than Halbarry lol.

Central City has been voted the safest city for the past three years. But it's not the statistically safest city. This paper analyzes why Central City ranked so high and proposes that superheroes increase city safety.

(aka a totally real paper published in a totally real journal about superheroes and city safety and why Central City is so awesome)

Hal’s been through a lot, and left almost as much behind. He’d much rather the past stay in the past, but as usual, the universe has other ideas. Something magical’s taken an interest in Helen. Hal's not letting anything happen to his niece, not when they're finally building a relationship outside of a time in in their past Hal knows they'd rather both forget. So he's bringing in Barry, despite things between them being, well…

trick or treat 👻

To keep with the Halloween spirit: here's the most recent paragraph I wrote in my horror-ish Halbarry AU, with black lantern Hal and a .... very hungry Barry.

Hal landed in Barry’s garden and wasn’t surprised to find the speedster kneeling in the wet grass, hard at work hacking at weeds with a spade. Barry had gotten really into gardening about half a year ago, he always complained about the PH of his compost or that the plants he wanted were off season, but he didn’t seem terribly good at it. A few skinny bushes were hanging on near his fence, but the grass was patchy and the garden overall was mostly bare. In fact, Barry seemed to mostly spend his time digging holes and filling them back up.    

Death hissed the ring in his mind, which - rude. So yeah, Barry had a black thumb, but he was allowed to have hobbies even if he wasn’t good at them.  

Hal whistled sharply to catch his attention and Barry dropped his spade the second he spotted him. Hal flashed him his best smile, but the effect was ruined when his knees buckled the second his feet hit the ground. Barry was at his side and caught him before he could hit the ground.

“How do you feel?” he asked.

“Like death warmed over,” said Hal, which was closer to the truth than he liked to admit.
