It just feels right, keeping his loved ones safe from harm and trusting them to fix whatever mess they’re in. Not that he faces danger alone, they just think of the big picture while Charles handles the immediate threat. Edwin, Crystal, and Niko have saved him back multiple times over.

But no one has ever physically stepped between him and pain, taken a hit for him.
