I am going insane, I listened to Jojo villains and protagonists covers of idol, running into the night and (B)oss, and now I can't stop thinking about an idol AU, SEND HELP I SPENT AN ENTIRE DAY TRYING TO REWRITE THE FAMILY TREE TO INCLUDE CHARACTERS FROM PART 7 ONWARDS AND HAVE EVERYONE EXIST IN THE SAME TIME, I AM ABSOLUTELY LOSING IT.

Ok in celebration of me finally getting an adhd diagnosis and to make sure this tumblr doesn't stay dry while I make more APMW world building (damn adhd and procrastination), I'm thinking about a new AU for Jojo (because apparently I'm ignoring the other fandoms for now)

A monster hunter AU.

For now what I have down is that:

The Joestars are a family of monster hunters

Not all the stone masks were destroyed post part 2, as the pillarmen have put different stone masks in different locations across the world in their travels.

Point 2 is important because, in this AU, the stone mask has a similar function to the stand arrow, except in place of making people gain different stands and abilities that reflects their needs and personality, it makes them into different types of monsters, like vampires, nagas, mothmen…etcetera

Stands still exist, except they're rarer (some stand users we see in the series are monsters instead, some have the stand abilities they had in the og series given to them by being turned to monsters, so they had no use for the arrow, and some are both, ex: DIO and Vanilla Ice)

Wearing the red stone of aja mask as a monster has the same effect as getting stabbed by the requiem arrow as a stand user

I'm thinking of calling the AU "the monster creation mask" This will be all for now, I will think up more later

A PILLAR MEN WORLD: RANKS

Recap: APMW is a pillar men won scenario, sperated into 3 different timelines: “servitude”, “rebellion” and “last chance”. “rebellion” and “last chance” are both timelines with hope for humanity, difference being that in one the aja gang are alive and in the other they’re dead. “servitude” is a timeline with no hope where humanity is in the pillarmen complete mercy with no chance of regaining independence.

This post has more details.

Ranks explained:       

The pillar men (U.L):  4 men, originally belonged to a race of super humanoids that lived only under the moon because the sun was their weakness, now can thrive under the sun after kars made a mask that caused them to devolep better abilities then lead into them becoming ultimate lifeformes immune to the sun.

The pillarwoman: the sole other survivor of the pillar genocide, her existance unknown to the pillarmen, suffers from amnesia, with only some recollections of her past. Has an odd connection to nature. Currently lives as a gardian to a small village that managed to go under the redar of the pillarmen because of her.

The harem members: the humans viewed as worthy of entertaining the pillar men, they have the highest level of protection imaginable for a human, their families get benefits too and a likelyhood of a raise if they work in court, if not and they belong to a lowly family, then their family gets monetry benefits and a chance in climbing ranks to a low rank nobilty (if proven to have skills of course). This makes the rank a pretty desirable one and highly competitive, both between those already in the harem trying to get more benefits by striving to become the favorite, and servants trying to catch the attention of the pillar men to get added to the harem.

Palace workers (high to mid position): there are many, head servants, head chef, excuters...etc, they have 2 things in common: 1-they make the pillar men’s lives easier by taking on the load of boring tasks that they don’t want to do and maximazing their happiness and pleasure. (Esidisi and Santana are completly hopeless in this regard, with Esidisi doing something if Kars pushed him, but even that’s rare nowadays. Kars and Wammu try on some level to be involved with the politics of the empire they rule, even if it’s the bearest of minimum)  And 2-they are all from nobility.

They share the same level of protection as those of the harem, tho they don’t get the spoiling treatment the harem folks do ( the sit around and do nothing tiring most days yet still get to live in ectasy), because slacking off has the risk of costing their heads.

Some gladiators ( the strong and popular one) share similar treatment ranking wise surprisingly ( because of Wammu of course).

Vampires and Gargoyles: vampires: humans that have been turned into “super humans” in strenght and abilities using the stone masks, they work as soldiers catching anyone who insults or plans to rebel against the pillar men regime, and as guards for cities. For whatever reason, despite the stone mask making them better in other areas, it seems that their intelligence either doesn’t change or (most of the time) becomes lower, with only some being the exception and getting smarter...truly peculiar.

Often found harassing regular people outside the palace.

Gargoyles: an advanced version of the vampires. They have different limbs and exibit in general better capabilities than vampires in both strength and agility, and possess higher intellect (tho considering the average intelligence of vampires...it’s not that hard to achieve...), they also have partial immunity to the sun, as they can exist outside in mornings but only for a limited time (being around 5 hours in most with a 4 hour break at least) or else they can start suffering from serious burns to the skin.

Their rarity is cause by the fact that the mask that made them is diffrent to that of vampires and requires more time,  energy and material to make. ( Kars only does it when he is truly bored)

They weren’t called gargoyles in the start, Kars only called them “the better vampires” and then shortened it to“ the advanced”, the first to call them “the gargoyles” was a village that still had statues of gargoyles, realised the similarities of how they are perched atop of buildings' walls, started calling them that, travelling merchants heard of the name, started using that to refer to them too leading to other mechants, villages, towns and even cities to hear of it and start using that too, servants from said places entered the palace and with them came the name leading it to explode in popularity and became the primary name. Some places still use other names for them, tho most people use “Gargoyles”.

They have more integrity than vampires, so most don’t harass people, but some do.

They are usually found perched atop the palace walls and the capital city walls, they work as both guards and surveillance cameras. Some exist in other cities, but that’s a rarity.

Palace servants (low positions): regular servants, take care of regular jobs and errands, like taking care of barns, serving food, washing clothes..etc. not that high of treatment or protection, tho it’s better than regular civillians who are in constant risk of vampire harassment. Some can get better lives if they become a personal servant of a pillar man and/or a harem member (they can get jewellery that alot send to their familly memebers to sell and live better and betterish pay with more protection), but it comes with the cost of living constantly as if walking on eggshells, as one mistake can risk one’s own life or the life of their familly depending on the weight of the mistake.

Even as regular servants they get better pay than a lot of regular jobs.

Common people: those who live in villages, towns...etc, average day to day people. Often times can be on the receiving end of the vampires’ and some particular sadistic gargoyles’ harassment. They try their best to lead good lives despit this, and if opportunity strikes, to help get their children to work in the palace for a chance of a more protected and better life (for their children’s well being ofc most times).

So in the Caesar and Kars example post I mentioned the APMW AU. It took me a while to post cause I was getting the gist of it down and trying to get my thoughts together, but it's finally here.

Behold

A pillarman world AU

A pillarman world: APMW: AU where the pillarmen won, taking over the world. They are all ultimate lifeforms, this includes Santana.

The AU is split into 3 different timelines:

Rebellion: APMW.R: Joseph, Caesar, lisa lisa and her 2 helpers all die, when does this happen I haven't decided yet, tho I think it will happen somewhere after the fight with Esidisi. In this version, one of the hamon users that were killed by Straizo managed to survive but with no memories of Straizo's betrayal and the existence of the pillarmen, regaining them piece by piece throughout the time period of BT while living in a small village in Mexico, and by the time the pillarmen became ultimate life forms, he regained full memories, and decided to start teaching the capable people of that town hamon in hopes of starting an underground society to take down the pillarmen. Years later, the news had made it around the globe through rebels that work among the servants of the pillarmen, and it's getting bigger and bigger, without the pillarmen's knowledge…or maybe they do know.

Last Chance: APMW.LC: this AU is similar to that of "Rebellion", with the difference being that the red stone of aja gang is not dead, and managed to escape last second and lived underground for a while, trying to plan how to take down the newly evolved pillarmen. Straizo's student still exists and he still taught the people of the town, but the news about them and the start of the society made it to the red aja gang before making it to anyone else abroad, and because of their advanced capabilities and great strategies, their group became the main leaders of the society, and they made sure to spread their influence to people that'll benefit them and were capable enough, while also keeping tabs on people that may betray them.

In both "last chance" and "rebellion", the secret society has a system put in place to keep the stand users hidden, and hamon users are advised to not use their abilities unless necessary, and not to do it in public, as even other people can betray them.

Servitude: APMW.S: the complete hopelessness AU, no one can save humanity, all hamon users are dead, and stand users got found out in some point, leading them to be hunted by the pillarmen goons and to develop tools to tell if a child is a stand user from birth or not, and if a person developed an ability down the line, and if found out they'll be killed. Humanity is over, and it's time for the pillarmen rule.

This AU can be used for world building asks/comments etcetera, it's not really limited for x readers (most of anything I'll do won't be only for one use as I want to have maximum fun and freedom) You can use it for world building in a fic, as long as there is credit.

Also yandere asks are allowed.

I'll make a separate post for how Darling can present in this AU ( I have….many ideas to say the least).

I want to add more explanation to this cause after posting I thought it was pretty vague, so I'll use some characters as examples to what I mean, with Caesar and Kars being the examples.

Tbh, for now, I didn't really think too deeply about what kind of yandere Caesar is, tho generally I believe he will stay consistently the same no matter his SO, time period, and AU. I don't really see him as the kidnapping super obsessive yandere type, and more manipulative, charismatic overprotective ""friend"" (he has a high likelihood of charming his SO into falling in love with him and upgrade to overprotective bf) type of yandere, with the only exception being 2 cases: Pre-BT Caesar and a pillar men world* Caesar.

Pre-BT Caesar is significantly more aggressive than BT Caesar, and will definitely be ok with kidnapping if needed, whatever if Caesar let's his SO out after his enlightenment moment where he turned to good, is something that I didn't really think of yet, but I think it may depend on if his SO is willing to forgive him (and start on a new page probably) or not.

APMW Caesar is also not far from kidnapping but only in a specific context, that context being most other people he was close to died or suffered severe injuries that lead into him becoming really paranoid about his SO's safety (whatever that SO is a hamon user or a regular person in another job/ position matters only a little bit as he may be more open about the Idea of letting his SO be free if they're a hamon user than if not, but even that's a low chance) Even then APMW Caesar isn't really that different from regular Caesar aside from that context.

Now to Kars…..ohhh boy, Kars.

I remember like…75 percent of what happened in part 8 and 30 percent of part 7 (last I read the part was 2020 i will re-read it again when I have time I swear-) and most of the anime (and stone ocean that I read as a manga)…but god maybe I don't remember all the characters correctly but I legit think Kars may be the yandere with the most insane differences when it comes to how his yandere tendencies show themselves depending on his SO. From whatever they're human, vampire, pillarmen, hamon user, to the time period (pre pillarmen genocide and Canon BT period being the main 2 time periods) and AU. Like, depending on what you got on the roulette for these 3, his behaviour can range from "let's get married and have strong, perfect pillar children" to Judge Claude Frollo from the hunch back of notre dame levels of messed up obsession, because no way this man is accepting falling in love with a lowly human with open arms.

Anyway, I hope this post cleared what I meant.

I think when it comes to yan!Jojo characters, a lot of their traits when it comes to both intensity and toxicity heavily depend on their SO, time period, and AU too, with hamon users (P1 and P2) being on the lower side of the dependency spectrum and (in my believe) the pillarmen on the high end (which I think is very funny that the arch nemesis are on the complete opposite ends), and the stand users being littered through the spectrum.
