Final Animatic for the animated documentary.
The subject of my animatic is based on "What it means to be human to use technology."
The documentary shows how a regular farmer who had never used technological equipment was thought how to operate and use them for his agricultural purpose, by his daughter. The story later tells us how the necessary equipment are used.
Included sound tracks: Recorded voice over for characters and narration, Foley sound and environmental sound.

Editing the animatic | Animated Documentary
youtube
For the fading in and out effects in the animatic I referred this YouTube video which was very easy and helpful.
Tumblr media
So far, I think I'm good with the editing sound.
There were additional parts of the animatic that I needed to fill in or it would bring no sense. For this too I got my friend to do the female characters voice over, she really helped me on this one.

Did the changes and added narrative voiceovers as well. It also has a part of the story which should give a slight idea of the story.

Research for the script Voiceover
For the factual in the voiceover that I have to mention, I did a small research on what to say. Here are some of the research for that.
first I did a small look into a chemical called "Pyrethroid"
Where is pyrethroid used?
Pyrethroids are very useful insecticides as, although toxic to insects, they are harmless to mammals. They are non-systemic and are rapidly broken down in the soil.
Pyrethroids are found in many commercial products used to control insects, including household insecticides, pet sprays and shampoos. Some pyrethroids also are used as lice treatments applied directly to the head and as mosquito repellents that can be applied to clothes.
In the 1960s a number of new, “second-generation” pyrethroids were patented, including tetramethrin, resmethrin, bioallethrin and phenothrin. These new compounds were many times as toxic to insects as natural pyrethrum and still have many uses today, including household insecticides.
Some of the essential and most used machinery are Combine or Combine Harvester, Rotavator or Rotary Tiller, Plough or Plow, Tractor Trailer, Power Harrow, Leveler, water bowser, ripper machine, and disc harrow. Below we have mentioned a few of the latest agriculture machinery and their uses in farming.
I did research on how a windmill is helpful and how it works:
The grain is poured through a hole in the revolving millstone and the motion grinds it into flour. As more grain is added, the flour is forced out off the side of the millstone, where it falls down a chute and can be collected in sacks.
Do windmills help in grinding grains?
Windmills were also used to grind grain into flour. They were originally developed for pumping water, but were quickly adapted for grinding grain. While it is rare, some windmills are still used to grind grain into flour.
Why are windmills important sources of electricity?
Wind energy is a source of renewable energy. It does not contaminate, it is inexhaustible and reduces the use of fossil fuels, which are the origin of greenhouse gasses that cause global warming.
Windmills can be used to lift water from the aquifer to directly irrigate crops or to pipe water from one location, such as a reservoir or pond, to a location where water is required. This is direct wind-to-water power, a mechanical means of moving water.
I also did research on what a weather station is and about it:
looked up some sites about it.
What is recorded at a weather station?
For most of the day, three hourly instrument readings are made of temperature, air pressure, humidity, rainfall, and wind speed and direction, and visual observations are made of cloud cover and visibility.
What do weather stations measure?
In addition to these parameters, each station measures ground surface (IR) temperature, solar radiation, wind speed, relative humidity, wetness from precipitation, and several values that monitor the operating condition of the equipment.
A weather station is a collection of instruments that measure atmospheric conditions to help study the weather and climate of a specific location. Most weather stations will measure temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction, and rainfall.
How much area does a weather station cover?
In case only weather stations are used, the weather information coverage of the Earth's land surface is limited to less than 50%, even if a 50 km diameter (25 km radius around each weather station) is assumed.
How is a weather station powered?
Most automated airport weather stations are connected to the commercial power grid due to the higher power needs of the ceilometer and present weather sensors, which are active sensors and emit energy directly into the environment.

I recently got Adobe Audition to my laptop, and I'm not quite experienced with it. But I attempted to watch some YouTube videos for help on how to remove background noise.

I am hoping to finish writing the script for the dialogue in the 2nd task, I am only left with that. And I will get one of my friends to do the voiceover for the female character (Nina).

I am officially done with the documentary animatic, I'm only left with the voice overs, for that I will try asking someone to do that. I don't think I'll use my voice. If I can't find anyone I will try doing it myself no worries.

Here is the animatic with sound I made. I want to keep it short, I will get feedback and maybe cut down to keep it short and sweet.
I need to add some more sound tracks, there's a few empty frames without sounds. (example: when she's using the phone I want to add a sound of her texting, then when her dad calls her inside, the following morning of the sunrise) that shot of tapping on the phone is him learning to use it. It's also missing a windmill sound effect on 2 of the shots. And the interface sound is a bit loud.
these are the changes/edits I will be attempting to do
