Hi everyone!

Reminder to do warm ups before you draw! And to maybe try out something new today!

To do said warm ups try the following:

Fill a page with circles, squares, vertical lines, horizontal lines, diagonal lines, triangles, blobs, spirals, make your own connect the dots, 30 sec figure studies(use line of action or any other figure studying website), 30 sec studies of anything really!

Get your hands moving so you are loosey goosey!

Do this for 15-30 minutes! You can do longer if wanted or if you need to go more indepth.

Videos that can help:

Before you draw anything and after your warm ups , periodically during drawing, and at the end drink some water and do some stretches. Keep yourself hydrated and moving about , sitting for long periods of time is not the best for you!

I do full body stretches as I tend to ache when I don't.

Draw from your elbow(and shoulder) not your wrist!

The side of your hand shouldn't sit on the paper , try to sit straight if possible it helps prevent back issues later !

Before you even start drawing or sketching out that awesome picture of yours try this !

Gather ( copy & paste rather) images you think could help you visualize the end result ( these images should help you get an idea of the characters likeness, what the background will be, the lighting, colors, and any extras you would like to add). These are your reference images.

Videos on references:

I often take the reference photos and Smoosh them together( badly) in order to make a kinda cohesiveness image using them! Then after this I will thumbnail ( a small sketch(es) of the composition/layout of the drawing ) images that are roughly similar to the badly photoshopped visual I did. I use that badly photoshopped reference pic as a guide for the final layout. I normally do this a couple times and maybe even map out the lighting of the ones I like the most.

( I couldn't find a good video on how to badly photoshop images for this but these should work fine.)

Then boom!! You can get to sketching and drawing and living your best life! Haha maybe not that simple but you got this!
