Remote Control Tourist
Have you ever wanted to take a tour of somewhere before you actually go? Or have you dreamt of seeing the world through someone else's eyes and controlling their every move? Then the Remote Control Tourist is for you.
For five days in October, two surrogates with live streaming cameras strapped to their heads will be wandering the streets of Melbourne, taking orders from you, the people of the internet.
Above is the trailer explaining the concept. And here are the highlights from Day one:
This is a great concept by Luke and Clark, two of the senior creatives here at Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne. And incredibly executed by the talented folk at Tool, New York and Exit Films.
Take the time to have a play at RemoteControlTourist.com and share it with your mates. Fair warning, it's VERY addictive.

New work for Cascade.
Here's something that Dan and Ben and Ben and I have been working on for a few months. It's a limited edition video for a limited edition beer. 5000 views for 5000 cases.
It all came about because Dan and I were going to be in Tasmania for a briefing, and that happened to coincide with Cascade's first day of harvest. So we brought Drew along with us and we filmed the whole process. Then edited the video in our spare time, and showed our clients. They were pretty happy with the film and even happier that we'd built the limited edition idea into it.
The hard part came when we briefed 474 Labs into building us a video player that could only be played 5000 times. And when it runs out, it automatically changes to the anti-trailer with a "sorry, you missed out" message. They came through with the goods and as you can see above, the video even has a live counter embedded into it - something we figured was pretty important when it lives outside the campaign page.
Now I need your help. Please help us spread this video to all the beer drinkers you know. Preferably the Aussies, as they're the only ones who can track it down. Either embed this video on your blog or send people to the official website.
I hope you guys like it. It's my favourite piece of work for a few years.  Tweet at me if you have any feedback.

I sent my three favourite ads of all time to Adrian. He put them on his blog called threeadsforads. Then I reblogged his post:
I’ve never met Chris. From what I know he’s a copywriter at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, an agency that wins a lot of awards despite employing idiots like Coleman*. Serendipitous following of randoms on Twitter may have bought Chris and I together, but it was our commitment to banter and internet that lead to mutual Tumblr following and regular acknowledgement of @ replies. No doubt someone out there is thinking “Can’t believe Flores is posting that cunt Hillary’s dribble”; but I haven’t met that person, so I’m going to go with the “Chris seems alright” line.
After apologising for the waffling, Chris left me with a line that sums up a common theme amongst those I’ve asked to contribute:
“Thanks for the opportunity to do this, bro. It’s always good to remind yourself why you don’t just pawn all the department’s Macs and book a one-way flight to Acapulco.”
[*I actually have a mad man-crush on for Coleman. Mainly cause he grabbed my penis the first time we met in person. True story.]
Here’s Chris’s ads:
Playstation 2 - Wolfman.
This is hands-down my favourite ad of all time. Cuts straight through the crap. No product benefits. Not a tech spec in sight. It doesn’t even show the fucking product.  It makes you stop and go “what the shit was that?”  Brilliant disruption.
And an engaging piece of storytelling about the emotion of being a Playstation owner. I used to wonder how TBWA London sold this idea in.  Did they act out the script in Sony’s boardroom?  Did they roofie the research group and say everyone loved it?  Surely it didn’t go near link testing.  Then I found out the ad is just a butchered version of a Tim Hope short.   Still, totally tits
VW Night Drive
When I was 16 I worked night shifts at a fruit and veg’ distribution centre and 4am shifts at an airport record store. I did a lot of night driving.  So when I first saw this ad I knew exactly what DDB London were on about.  Meanwhile, Richard Burton reading Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood.  You can’t really fuck that up, can you?
Radiohead blipverts In 2000, Radiohead released Kid A - the album that, for me, redefined music.  Remember back then? Music videos were consumed on the telly, and were the main promotion for albums (CDs).  So the band, Stanley Donwood, Chris Bran and Shynola said “pish off ta that”, and made a series of fucking twisted ‘blipverts’.  They popped up at random - in ad breaks and between music videos - with disturbing, glitchy visuals of DNA strands, eyeballs and stick figures re-enacting scenes from Titanic.  They ranged from 7 seconds to over two minutes, wreaking havoc in an otherwise mindless viewing experience.
To me, it was great because the band reevaluated their standard promotion platform, and slapped us with something unexpected.
And yes, I queued for hours at a midnight opening to buy the record.

Beer Chase
My coworkers Ant and Rich have been busy making this EPIC beer ad for Carlton Draught for the last 18 months (maybe an exaggeration).  I've been lucky enough to catch the works in progress for the past couple of weeks and even though I've watched the ad a dozen times, I lose my mind. I hope you enjoy it.  Share it around with your mates and let the fellas know what you think of it on their twitters.

Sango - Trust Me EP (Teaser) Listen to Sango’s juicy teaser for his Trust Me Ep that is forthcoming on Soulection on February 29th, it’s pretty wicked! ”Life is given to us not by choice. We just end up as we are. So, we must give life a gift, because life has given us a gift. Our gift to life is to simply do whatever we need to do while we are here and love good. It’s up to us to figure out what that duty is. As we listen to our souls, we learn to trust ourselves and others. As we are progress through our lives, we hope to achieve what we dream of. Trust Me EP is full of ideas I had and lessons that I learn by trusting my soul…Live this life.” -Sango

99c Dreams - a new mix for ya'll.
Oh, you wants some new musix? Relax. I GOT THIS: We start slow with some M83 and The Sound Of Arrows. Then shit gets real once Cults and Freddie Gibbs step up. Down the track is The Milk's new jam, before Sbtrkt aaahhhdrops the bass. There's a James Blake remix, plus plenty of his mate, Ifan Dafydd.  For some reason, everyone's covering The xx. So expect somma that. Oh, and ERRRYONE jumped on that Jamie xx jam. I'm talking Drizzy, RiRi and FloMac. Hold up for it.
It's been a 90's RnB throwback kinda month, so excuse me while I indulge with Mary J, Kelis and Aaliyah. The theme continuing with a few of Brenmar's tasty trademarks. Not gonna lie, there's a Prince cover that'll flaw ya jaw and some classic Busta to bring it back full circle. Enjoy 99c Dreams, people. And if you do, please hit the FB share button on the Mixcloud site. Appreciate. xo.
