My adaptation of the God of Arepo short story, which was originally up at ShortBox Comics Fair for charity. You can get a copy of the DRM-free ebook here for free - and I'd encourage you to donate to Mighty Writers or The Ministry of Stories in exchange.
Again it's an honour to be drawing one of my favourite short stories ever. Thank you so much for the original authors for creating this story; and for everyone who bought a copy and donated to the above non-profits.

sometimes you give your half elf paladin a Cool Eyebrow Scar when you’re designing them and have to come up w a backstory moment later to justify it.. we’ve all been there right??
#ooooh#love the colour contrast with the orange and teal#and the framing of the character using the shapes of the foreground and background#art#dnd

Now that I've finally got free time over the summer, I'm hoping to bash out the rest of the designs for my first campaign's party. Just 2 remaining characters now.
This was Tiny, our gnome artificer, and to the player's dismay the moral compass for our party

Finally finished my first year of university!
For the last project, we had to do book illustrations for an existing text (mine was Over The Rooftops, Under The Moon).
There 9 spreads limit, which made pacing an absolute headache. Only 2 pages needed to be full colour though - with the rest as just roughs - which made life a little easier in other respects at least.
All in all, I'm really happy with how both this project and the year as a whole turned out. I just wish I had a more time to push things further.
I'll probably post some more of the developmental work I did for this project too at some point, once I get the chance to sort through everything.

(the images directly above/below are the same page. there's a flap)

I am by NO MEANS a professional artist, nor am I good at replicating styles, but it was such a fun idea. Luthadel is such a cool aesthetic.

A Way Out // SPOILER for Rhythm of War
Ha! It is. A thing. When I tried to continue my draw-along / re-read through of RoW one and a half years ago, I got stuck on this scene because the dialogue was too long for a comic fitting on social media, so i decided to try some kind of video animatic thingy and and behold! It finally is.
It took a few tries and in the end it was 74 images I mashed together in Adobe Premiere.
It even has sound! Many great thanks to Thom Isaacs who was so kind to let me use his track Duration Erosion as background ambience for this dark scene. He recorded this music in an underground oil tank with some of the longest reverb inside a man made structure. It’s really cool! Definitely check his work out!
The track matched what I was going for so well that I am really happy that it now accompanies the images.
What is next!? Less dark stuff? Perhaps. We’ll see…

I've had this piece lying around half-coloured for a while now. Still not entirely happy with the result, but better to just put it to rest at this point

Beginning to work my way through the rest of the party from my first campaign.
First up here is Hex, resident warforged warlock, and frequent chooser of violence.
I probably could've used this as a chance to practice lighting on metal...buuuuut it's only few days into my easter break and I'm still a little too wiped out for that right now.

I had to 'Imagine an Island' for my latest university project (in which I took a completely normal degree of influence from the Stormlight Archive).
Here's the view of the island afar I did before my final outcome, and some of the early thumbnails.

Just a couple of quick firefly thumbnails I did as part of my current uni project.

My schedule's been pretty hectic, so I haven't had much time to spare for my own drawing endeavours. Absolutely melted my brain, but here are some hermit crabs I did for my last uni project though.

One final set of bug type sketches. My rendering is quite slow, so for these coloured ones I wanted to try and balance speed and effectiveness.

Ah, rendering, my old nemesis. Anyways, here are some more bug pokemon. Volcarona could've used a bit more contrast and hard shadows, but I'm feeling good about the process I'm making.
