I’m feeling so much better with the easing of some restrictions and being able to travel further than 5km from home is a Godsend. We’re now down to approximately 5 new cases per day in Melbourne and hoping for retail shops to finally reopen next week. Mental health is a real thing and I hope you’re all coping in your on way. I’m looking forward to going to a cafe for a proper sit down brunch. It’s the little things 🧡

I have an update on our journey up on our channel. It’s such a topsy turvy year that we had to put our plans on hold. It’s been such an inspiration seeing all you warriors have been able to achieve during this time and a timely reminder to never give up. You’re freaking awesome 🧡

I’m glad I’m working through my mental health and realising some key road blocks in continuing on this IVF journey is past experiences. I’m learning to shake of bad breaks and re-take control of my destiny. I pray we all come out on the other side with our miracle. What are some of the key things you need to overcome?

On this National Infertility Awareness Week, #throwback to last year IVF 8. We started a tradition of taking a photo after each evening injection and it’s been poignant looking at the memories. I can see the ups and downs reflected on my face. Day 5 was a particularly hard day as we digested the news from the previous day and the fact that the doctor had refused to treat my high LH levels as an issue; I wasn’t able to summon a smile. But as is the case in this journey, you have to reset your expectations and keep going, which I can see from my day 7 photo. By day 12; I was just exhausted and resigned to fate after the many mishaps with the hospital and the confirmation that indeed I had a premature LH surge. (Playlist on my YouTube channel for anyone interested including the phone conversations with my Drs and nurses). One thing I’ve learnt is you are your own best advocate on this journey. That’s why I’m obsessed with educating myself on the whole IVF process and sharing the learnings with other fellow warriors. Knowledge is indeed power. I wish we all get our dreams with minimum pain and maximum support from the professionals 🧡🧡🧡

I’m using my time in quarantine to work out what I need to do for any future IVF cycles. One of the areas I’ve been keen on is the ERA test (Endometrial Receptivity Array). It was interesting finding out not only the theory behind this test but limitations and benefits. I share all my findings in my latest YouTube update and also on my website: chrisplusjoe.com.
