Cw very brief mentions of internalized homophobia. Pronouns used you/yours one use of (name) in place of (y/n).

Jimbo and Ned both never wanted kids. It's not like they hated children but when it came to kids they preferred to be the fun uncles rather than fathers. That was until there was some type of freak accident that happened to neds distant family members that left you without parents and with no one else to take you in Ned after convincing Jimbo that it was a good idea decided to take you in.

You were pretty young when ned and Jimbo adopted you and they had no idea what they were doing at first, sure they had babysat kids before but parenting was very new to them.

If you've seen the "Do you want a beer, he's four" tick tock thing that was them for the first couple of years.

As soon as you are old enough they take you hunting and fishing with them.

Jimbo likes to play dumb lighthearted parks on ned and he makes you help him with them.

One time with your permission he hid one of your toys on a high Shelf that he knew ned can't reach before he left the house and had you act all worried about it (he bribed you with five bucks to do this) so that you would get Ned to help you find it so you and Ned ending up wasting all day looking for, until Jimbo comes home and within the first five minutes of being back goes up to the shelf, grabs the toy and just says "Why is (names) toy here?" and just hands it back to you while laughing. 

When Ned finds out it was a prank he just laughs to himself and says "That was stupid."

Jimbo does not understand the slag you use at all but Ned does so he makes Ned translate.

Bonus headcanon even after they had adopted you they still were not out of the closet so it confused a lot of people and it took a few years for them to come out mainly because Jimbo had a lot of internalized homophobia.

This was fun to write, I love Nedbo so much.
