Abstraction makes you thinks, makes you wonder “Why?” Asking why gives your art more traction and more publicity
i have a small space to make my very limited physical art and it’s hard to manage

Questions of the Week:
What’s abstraction good for? Describe some of the reasons why artists might employ abstraction in their work.
What does having a physical space to make art mean for your process and how do you make your space work for you?

this is pretty big in artsy cities like San Fran or Houston where it can bring in A Lot of people to view your art and also bring tourism to your city so in this case it can also be a bit of a cash grab from these cities Because they have a cool art scene.
as a person? sure I watch particular internet content and I chat with friends...As an artist? not particularly if I want to make something I’ll look for inspiration and then create

Questions of the Week
How does the location or context of a work of art affect its meaning?
Are there any particular activities that you do everyday as an artist?

i take breaks, honest to goodness breaks i stare at screens all the time and it is killer on the eyes and that healthy break time also allows myself to not become burnt out on my work
Maybe, depends on the person and also maybe your mental state, like perhaps you perceive the change being because of the art piece because you Want to experience change in yourself?

Questions of the Week
What do you do to keep yourself motivated and interested in your work?
Can art provoke change or transform our way of thinking? How?

paint is easier to make? artists have learned new techniques over the many many decades and longer
digital art is definitely a bit more favorable in the commercial sense as the out put is typically faster than physical art.

Questions of the Week
How have the tools and materials of artists changed over time?
What impacts do you think commercialism and the media have had on your work? Is this good or bad?

it depends on what circles you run with i think art can become the subject of a lot of gate keeping. in the church it’s pretty easy for art to exist in most aspects unless the church finds something “wrong” with the art shown or observed in a passerby sense.
i don’t rightly know, as an individual that wants to make films i believe that if you make good content your name will be passed down for you

Questions of the Week
What role does art play in our society? What role does art play in the church?
How do you want people to remember your work?

i think the skill that most artists should have its the ability to be consistent in there work while the work is fulfilling and then they should also be able to understand when they need to change their creative ideas for the sake of them not going crazy or experiencing a form of artist block when that art gets stale
i have not taken many in truth i do a lot of my work for fun

Questions of the Week
What are the most important skills an artist can have?
What risks have you taken in your work and what has been at stake?

Not many shifts, I have had always had a fun time making art digitally which is the space in which I am most comfortable.
It can either matter a whole lot or not at all i think the idea of “The Artist” is this crazy or depressed individual which can lead to a shift in creation for the artist if they play into that perception

Questions of the Week
What shifts have occurred in your work?
How do the social identities of the artist relate to the work of art they create?

To be completely honest...not yet, There’s plenty of art or movie media that i adore for particular reasons be that color studies, or shot construction but nothing significant.
i am going to say this time and time again, INTENT. The intent of your piece in that application that it is made can either be seen as craft OR art. for instance Tina i can see how an individual would look at some of your sculpture pieces and think a Michaels exploded. however as a student who knows your work i understand that it is art.

Questions of the Week
Has there been a person or experience that has steered your work in new or significant directions?
What distinguishes visual art from craft?

My subject matter focusses on atmosphere a lot, what does the space speak for it’s self, the projects that i have done with video last semester had no talking in fat my final project was completely silent letting the story tell itself through the imagery.
Be that a digital medium or video or writing the meaning of the work does change, most of my digital 3D modelled pieces are for fun or for exercise sake, my writings or spoken exercises are meant stretch my understanding of the world by taking note of most of the noises around me as well as i can with whatever senses i use in the moment.

Questions of the Week
How would you describe your subject matter or the content of your work?
How do the materials used to make art influence the meaning of the work?

I don’t see my art as autobiographical at all, i see it as moments in time when I took time to myself and made something fun and interesting
Time can either alter a piece of art drastically or minimally it really depends on what the subject of the art is, for instance the Mona Lisa hasn’t changed at all since it’s a portraiture

Questions of the Week
Do you see your work as autobiographical at all?
How do history and the passage of time affect the meaning of an artwork?

I draw inspiration from media around me as well as the environment as most of my art, or scripts that I've written are very atmospheric and focus on the world rather than the individual
I don’t believe art needs to be beautiful, beauty is subjective, i can find a piece that is haunting or chilling and still find beauty in it but that beauty is again subjective

Questions of the Week
Where do you draw inspiration from?
Does a work of art need to be beautiful? Why or why not?
