Juniper berry - we call them cedar trees here in Texas, but they technically are Ashe Junipers. A moment of "contre jour" at the donut shop. Sometimes I get too wrapped up in the technical aspects of photography with looking for what cameras have more dynamic range and better magic pixie dust in the lenses, and I have to stop and remember that some of my favorite shots are quite technically limited or flawed. High contrast B&W is one of those areas where you can concentrate more on the feeling of a scene rather than the technical aspects, as you are going to throw away most of the dynamic range anyways.
