they are a good artist, HOWEVER, they don’t seem to be good person. here is why, with a few links n such

they put japanese aesthetic and words everywhere all over their merchandise. they’re not japanese and can’t speak it but insist on capitalizing on the culture and language

 they put “shota” (shota is a shortened form of “shotacon” which means porn of small boys) all over everything, and when confronted about it said this.only after receiving massive negative feedback, did they “apologize” (probably cus they felt obligated to)

when asked about capitalizing on japanese culture, they apparently said that “it’s okay because i’m chinese”  (i know they said this but i can’t find it, maybe they deleted it?)

omocat is endorsed by people who wish they weren’t white and wish they were japanese (seriously their entire tag is white kids wearing japanese aesthetic stuff)its one thing to know japanese and be respectful of the culture while using it in your work, but another to just use the aesthetic for profit….

White goyishe people keep on bringing up "what if there were still statues of Hitler in Germany" and I have to keep repeating ad nauseum that the companies that still benefitted enormously from their connections and collaborations with the Nazis, such as BMW (Bavarian Motor Works), Hugo Boss, IBM, Bayer, Chase National Bank, Ford, L'Oreal, Porsche, Chanel, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, etc, are still around, and were never made to meaningfully account for any of the profits that they acquired directly from collaborating with Nazis and enabling the Holocaust.

These comparisons should invite a deeper consideration for what kinds of tributes and beneficiaries of genocide are hiding in plain sight. And stop playing a game of thinking Shoah is treated with kid gloves, instead of cynically used to promote propaganda of American exceptionalism and heroism that doesn't actually translate to justice for survivors and their descendants.

My son and I haven’t been able to get enough formula we were declined WIC and I’ve been rationing milk and rice so I really could use help getting food for kahlil.

I know this isn’t new information but: if you are an activist in a predominantly white town/city please do not underestimate the threat of white vigilantes in your towns. They are constantly communicating with the police, and each other on social media. Doxxing activists through arrest records, and protest footage. 

In Ch*ttanooga, BLM organizers are regularly stalked AT THEIR HOMES, and have online harassment campaigns waged against them. 

There is no doubt in my mind that vigilantism played a huge role in the many mysterious deaths of activists. Please be careful online and in the streets. Please do not isolate yourselves from your communities. Look out for each other, take care of each other, know each other, love each other. Do not do this alone.

Do not recommend cis authors on this post. This post is for centering trans and nonbinary authors. Please note that trans people write all sorts of stories and protagonists, and these books don’t automatically have trans or queer protagonists.

If you’re looking for a starting place on trans SFF, I strongly suggest the Transcendent anthology series as an overview. It’ll introduce you to a wide array of incredible stories from trans and nonbinary authors.
