D:BH - Incorrect Quotes #2 (voiced)
If any of you original creators mentioned don't feel fine with me posting it in this video, please let me know and I will remove your part from it! ...And of course, also if you'd rather like me to add more of your quotes in a next video let me know as well :D It's been a far long time since the part 1 isn't it? :D But AIpril is here so I decided to finally finalize this!
❧ PART 1 link
I had so much fun working on this with a hope it will make you smile as well! There were so many amazing 'incorrect quotes' made by the DBH comunity and it was really hard to chose only few of them, but for now I can only make a voice of Connor/Sixty/Nines, Makus, Hank and Gavin/Kamski.
=Credits= #16 @chtoblin #17, 19, 22, 24, 26 @julientel ✓consent #18, 28, @detroit39incorrectquotes ✓consent #20, 23, 25, 29 @nock-and-bolt ✓consent #21 @aurora-nerin #27 @kayla1507 #30 @kidrunaway The voices are AI modifiers of my performance. That means this video contains making a real person appear to say something they didn't say. Please, don't use it for further remixes or claims!

(Some time after the peaceful revolution).
(Connor walks Sumo out).
Connor: oh, Sumo, did you get in the puddle again?
Sumo: (happily splashing around in the mud and feeling no worries).
Connor: (disappointed breath, squats down to be level with the dog).
Connor: why do you always do that on walks with me? Is getting yourself dirty in the muddy water supposed to be fun?
Connor: ...
Connor: hm...
(A short time later).
Connor: we're back.
Hank, walking out of the kitchen toward the front door: oh, hey, Con, how was the walk– WHAT THE– ?!
Connor, mud-stained from head to toe, but with a proud smile: I was conducting a practical experiment. It's a success. I've realized why Sumo enjoys his canine endeavors.
Sumo, also stained: (happy barking).
Hank: YOU'RE BOTH TAKING ME TO MY GRAVE!!

Headcanon on how Nines literally considers Connor his big brother, and because of that follows him around everywhere to gain abilities/ wisdom/etc. from him, since he himself was created by Cyberlife relatively recently (even though his program has literally all the skills and knowledge he needs, lol).
Cyberlife: progress doesn't stand still, and that's why we created the RK900, to deal more effectively with deviants and—
Connor: WRONG!
Connor, hugging Nines: you made a little brother for me.
Nines: (・h・) ? ?

Sudden headcanon: deviants, when writing by hand, can do it perfectly and smoothly, but for the most part they use their individual handwriting, which they gradually develop from the character acquired with deviation.
There could be examples here of what kind of handwriting I would give to the characters, but that would require studying the subject much more deeply, and I'm somehow... lazy.

Just Connor on the path of deviant and headcanon that when he failed missions to please a software instability, he had phrases in his mind every time along the lines of «I wasn't good enough», «my model wasn't designed to fail, it's not in my program», «I didn't do the right thing for the investigation, did I make the wrong choice?», «I was a useless android on that mission», «I promised Amanda I wouldn't disappoint her», etc. He literally has a "fear" of making a mistake on a mission (this could be interpreted in a number of ways: either he's ashamed in front of Amanda, or he's subconsciously afraid of being deactivated because he's failed so many times).
At the same time, on the other side of the coin there is Hank, who, on the contrary, encourages him in every possible way for his decisions. And it seems that he should listen to the Lieutenant, because android follows his orders, and it seems that he should do everything for the success of the mission, despite any sacrifices. And that's why Connor is like a little unsure child facing every choice, not knowing exactly how he should act.

Uh, yeah, I went crazy again and made another Detroit AU.
School AU. Yup, I wanted to do my own rendition of that too. :3
All the androids here are human!
Brothers-rk where:
MARKUS — is an older brother, fifteen years old, in ninth grade. The leader of the class with his company (North, Simon, and Josh, who studies with him; of course, they're all friends (and some of them are even more than just a friend?? It's your choice!) ). Markus is a calm person for the most part, but he has a heightened sense of justice. If one of the students or teachers does something bad to someone, Markus is right there with his friends... He also likes to rebel if there's no pudding in the cafeteria, lol.
Teacher: you need to get into pairs to do this homework.
(Sometime during recess after this lesson...)
North: I'll be the one doing the assignment with Markus!
Simon: no, me! (The two of them get into an argument).
Markus, crossing his arms over his chest and squinting his eyes, watching their argument: ....
Josh: guys, answer me this honestly... you just don't want to do this job with me? :(
Markus, leaning over to Josh, whispering: don't worry, I'll do this project with you and leave these two to pair up.
Josh: :)
Markus loves music lessons, of course!! He participates in the school concert, plays the piano in performances (as musical support for other instruments or solo).
Markus also takes extra art classes in his spare time. There is only one group, which consists of people of all ages, from first graders to twenty-somethings. Carl Manfred, a well-known artist, leads the classes at his home. He is helped by his son Leo, who is a couple of years older than Markus (he is seventeen and is home-schooled with tutors and teachers who visit him at home). Leo doesn't really understand anything about art, and almost always grumbles when he's forgiven to do this or that, but he actually enjoys helping his father, especially given artist's disability. All the more so since he gets pocket money for it.
Markus excelled at drawing very quickly. This has led to the fact that when he comes to class, he only paints a picture at first, further on he helps Carl and Leo in running the lesson. He carries paints and brushes, water, helps the other people in the group with the drawings (giving advice, etc., as he understands a lot about this creative activity). He has become very close to Carl because of this, and the artist, as a grateful, does not charge Markus for attending classes (although the schoolboy tries to pay every time at the end of the month together with everyone else).
Markus' relationship with Leo was not very good at first, because the son of an artist was unconsciously afraid that Carl might develop warm feelings for the ninth grader more than for his own child. But in the end, the two find common ground because they realize that Carl adores the two of them equally!!
CONNOR and SIXTY — are the middle children in the family, twins, in seventh grade, thirteen years old. Their lessons are extremely common, and their interests are almost indistinguishable. The only difference between the two is that Connor is more inattentive and positive. Sixty, on the other hand, usually has that look in his eyes, like he's ready to drop you on the floor and shoot you on the spot. This is especially true if you've done something to offend Connor. In that case, all you have to do is run for your life.
The friends of the twins are Luther, Kara (their classmates), Ralph and Jerry (they are from the tenth grade and are sixteen years old). Outside of school hours, Alice (fifth grade, eleven years old), the younger sister of Kara and Ralph, is still usually with them. The two of them take care of their sister, since their father, Todd, is obviously failing in his duties (in this AU, he's still a bad father, but not as horrible as in the game; at the very least, he definitely wouldn't raise his hand to the kids under any circumstances; their mother hasn't run away from the family, she's just tragically gone).
In addition to their friends, the brothers have good acquaintances in class: Rupert and the two Traci's (two girls from different families, but with the same names and sympathy for each other).
Connor and Sixty are also taking extra classes in magic tricks (which Markus used to take too, albeit not for too long). They really like the subject of tricks and juggling, which is also included there! The two of them are best at coin tricks.
They also have a friend in the class, Cole, an eleven year old boy who is homeschooled. His father, Hank Anderson (who is much younger in this AU), is a Lieutenant in the local police department.
Cole often spends time with the twins outside of trick-or-treating classes. This usually involves the rest of the brothers' friends as well. The closest relationship Cole has is with Alice!
NINES — is the youngest brother, the youngest child in the family (eleven years old), studying in the fifth grade. But despite this, he is the most serious and quiet of all the brothers.
Markus and the twins study well, but Nines is better than all of them put together, almost an excellent student. He does best in math and physical education (he is the fastest and strongest in his class). "Mom's Gold."
Because Nines is serious beyond his years, he thinks the behavior of his peers is too childish (although they behave as they should, according to their age). But he still has a few friends from his classmates: Alice, Elijah, and Chloe. He forgives his friends for their frivolous behavior and gives them preferential treatment.
In his spare time, Nines usually stays at home, self-developing through books or the Internet, reading about topics of interest (which are clearly not quite appropriate for his eleven years of age; how did a child even come to quantum physics so early?!). He likes to study the school program ahead of time. But Nines also spends a lot of time with Alice and Cole, whom he met through her (they go on these outings with just the three of them, without the rest of their friends/relatives, but there are occasional exceptions). With Elijah and Chloe, he usually only talks to them at school or by texting/phone, they rarely go out together since those two live far away.
Elijah has a half-brother the same age, Gavin. Inexplicably, Gavin and Nines have started a feud... well, that's what Reed thinks. Nines thinks it's just childish and views their relationship as "not very good" but is willing to stick with the "enemy" image. When Gavin starts any argument or insults against him, Nines responds calmly and calmly, not taking his provocations (unless Reed moves on to family, for then Nines allows himself to show all his anger). Indifference irritates Gavin even more.
Gavin is only friends with Tina, their mutual classmate. Few other people besides her and Elijah can put up with that kind of temper. Well, Chloe can too, but she doesn't have much desire to socialize with Gavin too closely.
AMANDA — is a single mother of four brothers. Markus was born to her first husband, who soon died, and the other three to her second husband, who then left the family, cheating with another woman when Nines was born.
It's not just the former breadwinner's alimony that the family lives on. Amanda, after the loss of her second husband, realized that on the salary of a professor of artificial intelligence, they will be difficult to live, and got a job as an engineer in the same field in the company Cyberlife. The company makes advanced robot vacuum cleaners, robots for factories, and so on. Generally speaking, they have no money problems. A woman, having failed twice in her relationships with men, focused entirely on her career. In this endeavor she excelled and quickly made a name for herself.
In the role of mother Amanda behaves, to put it mildly, mediocre. Markus' pregnancy was spontaneous and accidental, the newlyweds were not ready for a child. Amanda had no skills of motherhood, and to get them through books or the Internet, she had no desire to do everything blindly (and on their mistakes in the future little learned). After his father's death, the son was mostly on his own, even being so young while his mother was in mourning.
Markus didn't like his stepfather from the start. The new "breadwinner" hardly ever worked, took Red Ice and forced his wife onto it (Amanda still sins on drugs when she gets really sick). Even as a small child, the eldest son understood everything. When the man betrayed their family by getting involved with another woman, Markus was not particularly surprised. The main thing in his life was (and is now) to take care of his younger brothers, to be a support for them, the person from whom you can expect support, help or advice. He didn't have such a person himself, and he didn't want his brothers to be deprived of that.
At the moment Amanda is rather cold and indifferent to the children, speaking to them rarely and usually in a condescending manner, so they are used to rely on themselves and each other's help. Yes, they have a roof over their heads, food in the fridge, their big (though not too cozy) house is warm in any weather and always clean thanks to a couple of servants. But they have always lacked a mother's love. Every time one of her sons tried to get attention (whether it was a drawing made, an offer to go for a walk together, a request to explain some blueprint), Amanda just waved it off, gave her cash (without even looking at how much she was giving) and asked her not to interfere with her work. Connor is most saddened by this: Markus is used to it, Sixty is resigned to it, and Nines realized from the very first failure that there was nothing to try for. Nevertheless, this has allowed a strong bond to build between the brothers. Each other they stand a mountain for, either way.
ADDITIONAL REPORTS:
1. Markus has heterochromia, which he had most of the time in the game. No one dares make fun of him for it, because they're aware of his Justice Gang...
2. Simon has a twin brother, Daniel, who is in the same class with him. His temperament is more closed, and he mainly socializes with his friends. Daniel can sometimes hang out with Simon's company, but this is quite rare.
Everyone confuses Simon and Daniel, but not Markus. He can tell exactly who is who, even if the twins dress the same.
3. Kara goes to extra private lessons with a family friend, Rose. She always takes Alice and Ralph with her if he happens to be home at that moment. Rose teaches Kara and Ralph (if he's available) how to cook (for which she doesn't charge, by the way), while Alice plays with Adam. A woman's son is the same age as Alice, and they would be classmates if Adam wasn't homeschooled.
4. Even though Tina is Gavin's friend, she treats Nines neutrally, like a good acquaintance. And it's mutual. She just doesn't see the point in the boys' "feud" that started from nothing. When Gavin starts another argument, she rolls her eyes and tries to pull him away by his sleeve. And this whole process, which is repeated from day to day, Elijah likes to shoot on his phone, as a souvenir. :D Chloe at such moments just stands helplessly and watches, praying that the argument did not come to a fight (yes, it happened too).
5. Chloe and Tina hang out together on weekends because they go to extra dance classes together. On breaks from practice, they gossip and discuss their friends, looking for ways to best help them bond. At school, they don't socialize as much.
6. Ralph is not Kara and Alice's own brother. He is a distant relative of theirs. A couple years ago, his stepmother (an only parent) died in a fire at his house and he was left alone (he was saddened by this, but not really; they weren't close with his stepmother, he was mostly on his own). The authorities found out that Todd was the only relative, and he took the (at the time) fifteen years old boy into his custody.
At first, Ralph and Kara interacted rather little due to awkwardness (especially since the boy has a shy and slightly geeky personality that sometimes prevents him from socializing). Alice next to Ralph was generally silent and looked at him from afar, avoiding every time he awkwardly tried to speak.
Ralph realized that, due to his temperament, he wouldn't be able to gain trust with words, so he decided to show his good intentions with actions. He always volunteered to help when Kara was cleaning or cooking; he helped Alice get things off the top shelves, even if she wanted to ask her sister; when he was able to get a part-time job at the comic book store (where Jerry also worked) at the mall and got his first paycheck, he bought the girls a candy bar (and many other things after that).
Yes, he was able to skillfully touch the hearts of the girls very, very quickly.
Ralph wears closed clothing in all weathers, even the hottest, because he is very embarrassed by the scars the fire left him. He is especially embarrassed about the scars on the left side of his face, which he hides under a blue cloth tied around his head. And he has a lifetime exemption from physical education at school.
Jerry (with whom they are better friends) is the only one besides his family who has seen Ralph's scars, and he assures him every time that it's nothing to be ashamed of. Ralph is working on it.
7. Sometimes it happens that some random students start making fun of Ralph for his shy and quiet nature and closed clothing items. Jerry always stands up for his friend. But one day it happened that Ralph was all alone. It was a labor lesson on the street, students were sweeping the paths, Ralph went too far and was hidden from the eyes of the teacher and the others, after which he was approached by a company of older guys. The offending boys, feeling their power, allowed themselves, besides the usual jeers, to be physically abused.
Kara and the others, having learned about what had happened, told Connor and Sixty. The twins, in turn, relayed the information to Markus...
... Those abusers felt very, VERY bad when the authorities at the school found out about their deed. :³
8. Everyone turns to the Justice Gang for help, but no one knows exactly how Markus and his friends work. It's very hard to get through to the teachers and even more so to the principal, especially without hard evidence about the injustice that has happened. But this quartet always manages to get both proof and reach the very top of the school. They have their own ways, which they don't talk about...
9. One day, Hank needed to pick up Cole from his extra lesson time, but he himself was running very late due to work. He arrived as soon as he could and found his son on the playground that was built next to the building where the class was held. But the boy was not alone, he was playing catch-up with two twins, who were obviously older than him. That's how Hank found out about Connor and Sixty. That afternoon he decided to invite the two of them over for a cup of tea to get to know his son's friends better.
The first thing Connor did upon entering the Anderson house was to turn his attention to Sumo. Together with Cole, he ran up to the dog, after which the two of them began to play with the dog. Connor literally flooded Hank with questions about their pet. Sixty, seeing the expression on the man's face, took it for embarrassment, hidden behind an awkward smile, and because of that he signaled his brother to stop the endless flow of inquisitiveness. But, in fact, the Lieutenant was hiding a pleasant surprise, not expecting such an enthusiastic reaction to the dog. This gave the brothers a plus point or two on their way to winning the man's heart.
Sixty soon sat down beside Sumo as well and petted him, but much more modestly than his brother.
In fact, the twins had always wanted to get a dog, but for some reason Amanda kept saying no. Their family had enough money, and the brothers didn't understand what the problem was. So every time Connor and Sixty come to visit the Andersons, they don't miss the opportunity to pet Sumo. Sometimes they even volunteer to walk the dog with Cole.
10. While the twin brothers dreamed of a dog, Nines was more fond of cats. But he did not feed himself with false hopes, just kept the desire to have a pet deep inside, as he realized that his mother would not allow an animal even to her "golden kid" (the woman liked to occasionally elevate her youngest son above all the others, which Nines was always sincerely NOT happy about; good, the other brothers themselves understood that the youngest would never allow himself arrogance in their direction).
At school, when the lessons became boring (which happened often, because Nines studied much of the future program on his own at home), he drew on blank sheets that he tore out of his notebooks. Almost always they were airplanes, cars, incomplete and unfinished drawings of some invented mechanism. But sometimes Nines gave in to temptation and drew cats (which he did best, because it was cats that Markus had taught him to draw).
One day he saw a picture of Elijah's pet nibelung cat on his phone. Until then, he didn't know his friend had a pet.
Nines drew two small drawings of this cat in a boring literature class. One he'd given to Elijah and the other he'd tossed folded in a pencil case to Gavin while he wasn't looking. Nines found no logical explanation for his action, and his friends sometimes teased him about it.
Gavin was surprised to find a pretty good drawing of his pet cat in the pencil case and thought at first of his half-brother. But Elijah doesn't do much painting, he's more of a man of science, so Gavin was left in confused ignorance. (Tina, seeing the drawing, immediately realized who it was from, but remained silent).
11. Markus, in the middle of some explanation: and since we all understand where babies come from-
Connor: do we? I don't understand.
Markus: ... oh.
Sixty: are you serious?
Connor: you know??
Nines, defiantly clearing his throat: everyone knows but you.
Connor: EVEN YOU?
Yeah, Connor is an innocent flower.
12. Usually the friends who argue at every turn are Josh and North, but when it comes to Markus... Simon shows up and things take a whole new turn.
These arguments are always won by Josh, who stands quietly and watches the conflict along with Markus.
Markus: I'm doing this project with Josh, period. You two will be paired together.
North and Simon, who have been arguing for about three minutes over which one Markus will be paired with: ._.
Josh: :D
13. Connor once noticed that Kara and Alice always hold hands when they walk together, and now does the same with Sixty. The twin called his idea silly, grumbling unhappily every time Connor took his palm in his own, but has never once tried to release his hand yet. Markus thinks this little ritual is cute. Actually, a lot of people think it's cute, it's just that big brother is the only one who can admit it out loud and not get someone's murderous stare...
My dear mental health, where have you gone...
I VERY strongly hope I didn't mix up anything in my own fanon. And if I did, I'll just go on a bender. (´。_。`)
I made a chart showing all the relationships between the characters, thinking it would help me. But in the end I got even more confused and I'm not even sure if I've put everything in the right place. But anyway, I decided to leave it for you too, maybe it will help you. The quality was terrible and I fixed what I could, sorry about that. :_/
Maybe if I accumulate another compilation of some more situations/fanon on the characters, I'll put it in a new post. Who knows how this medal will turn out.

Connor: NINES! NINES! HANK IS DEAD!
Nines: WHAT?!
Connor: HE'S LYING IN A HORRIBLE, UNINTELLIGIBLE POSITION ON THE COUCH AND WON'T WAKE UP!!
(Androids look at Anderson).
Nines: ... oh.
Nines: no, he's just got a bad hangover. Drunkard.
Connor: why won't he wake up?! I've tried every possible way to wake him up!!
Nines: don't you know anything about alcohol? Just let him sleep it off.
Connor: <:<
(A while later).
Hank, walking into the kitchen to get a glass of water: good morning everyone.
Nines: ... it's three o'clock in the afternoon.
Connor: LIEUTENANT, YOU'RE ALIVE!
Hank: did I sleep through my own funeral?

(Sometime after Markus' peaceful revolution, when Connor tried to socialize among "his own" and make acquaintances).
Deviant1: to be honest, I, like I think the rest of our people, began my deviant journey with fear and terror. But, even though it has been a difficult ordeal for our people, I have already experienced so many other positive emotions!
Deviant2: (nods vigorously in response).
Deviant2: yes, it has been a difficult time for us all, but I have also had time to realize what positive feelings can actually be experienced.
Deviant3, also nodding his head and turning to Connor: you have as well? Have you also had time to feel something like happiness?
Connor: (remembers the federal attack on Jericho, where he and the others could have died).
Connor: (remembers the confrontation with his other self in Cyberlife, where he or Hank could have died).
Connor: (remembers the confrontation with Amanda, in which he was prepared to kill himself if he failed, just to avoid hurting Markus).
Connor: ... I'm not sure.

Connor: well, Nines, how's your entry into the DPD going?
Nines: pretty much normal, I was assigned to be Detective Reed's partner.
Connor: (remembers all his encounters with Gavin).
Connor, looking mournful: (claps Nines on his shoulder consolingly).
Connor: I'm sorry about that, but remember I'm always around to talk about it.
Nines: ?
Gavin's the one to feel sorry for later.

Why do I think the bloom meme fits the headcanon of Connor hanging out in Amanda's garden while there's no missions to perform lol
How did I even get to this meme

Alright, I really like the idea floating around fandom, saying that Connor originally had a drop of deviance in him. Well, sort of, he's supposed by his job (he was introduced to us in the first chapter as a negotiator) to recognize people's emotions and feelings, and it's hard for machine code to do that. I'm willing to develop this idea further. I'm interested in fantasizing about what Connor's deviant path would look like with this idea.
The meeting with Amanda went well. Connor shouldn't have expected anything else. He'd managed to find out from the deviant why his owner had been killed without even penetrating his memory. And managed to protect him from self-harming when the cop put him under a lot of stress without realizing it himself. Gavin wasn't pleased, but Hank appreciated the dedication. The deviant hunter wasn't quite sure why he'd taken such a risk, but there was no point in looking into it. The main thing was that the interrogation had been a success.
The woman — obviously! — praised him for his good work and then left. Connor closed his eyes, ready to wake up in the real world, but he was distracted by a strange sound from the other end of the garden. Not even a sound, though. A feeling, earlier never once felt.
Probably shouldn't pay attention to it. There's no telling what it could be. Is it necessary to waste precious time on any nonsense?
But the android himself didn't notice how he was already in the right place. A wall ending the perimeter of the garden, wrapped in vines and hidden behind a vegetation of trees and other shrubs.
A strange sensation beckoned somewhere beyond the textures loaded into the program, which was suspicious. Anyway, what if it turned out to be some kind of error in the code? Need to find out, so he could report back and wait for it to be fixed. Or transferring his data to another, empty rk800 model.
Raising his hand in the air, Connor pressed against the cold wall. Logically, nothing should happen to the solid material. Well, it could be said that the material did remain unchanged. One might even say untouched. The hand dived forward further, as if there was a void further beyond the textures.
Nothing about the other spaces in the inner world Connor had no idea. What an interesting virus.
He took a determined step forward, finding himself on the opposite side of the wall.
Clear sky, free expanse, no buildings or decorative structures. Like a huge meadow, completely strewn with flowers. And for the most part, the place appeared empty. All around, one emptiness stretching beyond the horizon.
The android knelt down to pick up one of the flowers and analyze it. It turned out to be a yellow colored lily. All the flowers around were lilies like that. In addition to yellow, orange and red were also common. The updated data revealed that those colors in this plant meant freedom and independence, which made Connor frown slightly. Did that play a big role here?
Still, it was all very strange.
Footsteps came from the side.
— Oh, you made it here after all! — Someone announced cheerfully in his own voice.
The real Connor hurriedly stood up straight and analyzed the stranger warily. Also rk800. The clothes he was wearing were the same as Connor's normal clothes, but without the Cyberlife identifying marks. In place of the model and number lettering was a pocket with a white lily sticking out of it. Like a symbol of the beginning of something new.
— Who are you? — Taking a step back, the deviant hunter asked cautiously as his LED rapidly turned yellow.
The stranger with his appearance was smiling strangely, as if he was... sincere.
— You may not believe this, but I'm part of your program. It's important for you to understand people's emotions, and it's hard for a emotionless android's program to do that, — he took a small step forward, trying to get a little closer. — Roughly speaking, I'm a small part of the deviation that was specifically put into you when you were created. It's cool, isn't it?
His own LED recolored red. Sewing deviation into a deviant hunter? He felt that under no circumstances should he succumb to free will. It was confusing, caused conflicting thoughts, and could possibly be frightening. But he's only a machine, even if it turns out to have that little surprise.
— I'm a compulsory measure, but I was strictly hidden from your eyes, so that there would be no mishaps in your work, — continued the deviant, taking another step forward. — But you found me by accident! I didn't think it could happen!
— Does Amanda know about it? — On the contrary, stepping back, the real Connor asked.
— She knows a lot about you, but she's not omnipresent, — his companion shook his head, thinking. — No, she won't realize what happened. Maybe she'll guess, but she'll pretend it's not happening.
The android was still skeptical of the idea of deviance in himself.
— Are you changing anything about my job?
— I've been tried to be completely prevented from doing it, but yes, I can still give you some pointers! You think it was your code's idea to save the android Ortiz? — He grinned.
You could deal with the deviance in yourself, but not with the fact that deviance somehow influenced your actions.
— No, it was purely my motivation, — he went on.
It was dangerous and unpredictable, which meant it had to be dealt with. Immediately.
— I'll report you, — Connor turned toward the featureless wall, which from this side looked like a carved and almost imperceptible texture.
The deviant's cheerfulness and playfulness were gone at once. He was clearly worried and followed his companion, grabbing him by the sleeve.
— Wait! You'll be deactivated!
The hunter looked at him with an indifferent look, nevertheless stopping.
— Aren't you scared of that at all? What if they don't activate you anymore, but find a replacement? — The clone persisted.
— I can't be scared, it's not in my program, — he replied coldly.
— But I can! I'm scared for you! — But such an argument didn't seem to be accepted, as the android ascended his way to the garden. — Alright, alright, wait, I can suggest something, just listen at least!
Connor stopped again and turned his attention back to the deviant, wondering why he was so uncomfortable with the idea of deactivation or replacement.
The overly emotional clone sighed, as if gathering his thoughts, and continued:
— Let's make a deal. You don't talk about me, and in turn, I don't interfere with your work. Well, that is, I won't interfere with your missions as I did in the interrogation. You'll do all the elections on your own. I promise! — He held out his hand to shake. — What do you say? — A noticeable smile colored his face again, even though there was noticeable nervousness.
It was risky. Was it worth it? Voluntarily covering up the error of his program and remaining silent about it, trusting it? There could be consequences. On the other hand, engaging in fixing it or finding a replacement? That would require time, which is already rapidly melting away and is not on their side. It would prove to be extra trouble for the superiors...
The android silently shook the other person's hand, which caused his companion to cheer:
— So we have a deal!

Connor was in his own inner world. But after, to be honest, not the most pleasant conversation with Amanda, he was in no hurry to leave. He went to the familiar wall and found himself in a colorful field of lilies, searching for his other self with his eyes. He had a couple of serious questions for him.
Deviant sat among the many flowers with a smirk, weaving a wreath of white lilies. He accompanied it with a mooing hum of one of the songs playing in Hank's car.
The android hurriedly approached him as the other pretended not to notice the guest:
— Did you do this?
Stupid question, he already knew what it was.
— What did I have time to do, hm? — With obvious teasing, the clone clarified, raising his eyes to his interlocutor.
Oh, he knows exactly what he's talking about.
— Those two deviants from the Club Eden. I didn't shoot them, though I should have. Admit it, was it you?
Satisfied as a fed cat, the deviant, not even hiding his wide smile, got to his feet.
— I repent, it was me, — he replied easily, clutching the newly completed wreath to his chest. His grin betrayed his amusement.
— You promised not to interfere with my missions, — the hunter reminded him sternly, folding his arms across his chest as his LED glowed yellow.
interlocutor hummed, as if he'd found a loophole, and tilted his head to the side:
— When I pushed you to save Hank on the roof instead of catching Rupert, you didn't make such a drama.
Android was caught off guard. It was true, he hadn't paid the same close attention to the previous incident. But this is different, isn't it?
— The Lieutenant is human, and cannot be replaced in the event of death. Obviously, it was more logical to back him up, — he found an explanation for his behavior.
— Those girls can't be replaced either, — the deviant argued hotly, frowning slightly and dropping his smirk. — They only wanted to be near each other, it would be extremely cruel to take that away from them. That's why I didn't let you take the shot.
Connor was silent for a few moments, pondering whether to object in response. It would be odd to build conflict within himself on such grounds.
— Amanda's not pleased anyway, — he reminded himself a little more quietly, making the last argument he could. Indeed, he had to say he didn't know why he'd done it, even though the reason was right under their noses. Well, or behind the wall.
The clone rolled his eyes, snorting again:
— I don't care what she thinks, — he assured him once again, and before he could answer, he threw the wreath over his companion's head. — It suits you! — He laughed a little, regaining his playful nature.
The hunter was silent for a moment, deciding to end the argument on principle.
(...)
— I don't understand, — Connor shook his head, lowering his gaze downward. He was once again in the midst of this floral madness. — Had the Lieutenant been so affected by these two deviants?
He had been in the middle of a conversation with Hank, and when the latter had expressed his favorable assessment of the escaped androids from the club, he had been completely lost. The image of the man now seemed to him a contradictory program, difficult to get to grips with in any way. He, even through his obvious reluctance, had to address his other self.
— Well, you were right to summon me, — the deviant said with a chuckle. — I'm much better at understanding people's emotions and feelings than you are. Damn it, that's why I'm here!
The android looked at him silently, frowning slightly. The clone rolled his eyes playfully:
— Okay, just let me get on with this dialog.
Things were going smoothly, albeit a bit sentimental. The relationship between the Lieutenant and the android was getting better and stronger with almost every line, which couldn't have been more gratifying.
— Having existential doubts, Connor? Sure you're not going deviant too? — The man suddenly asked at one point.
The deviant, who had primary control at that exact moment, flinched sharply. He slowly shifted his gaze to Connor, and Connor saw the clone's smile grow wider and wider.
— Can I answer him honestly? — The clone asked almost unintelligibly, trying to suppress a growing laughter. His shoulders were shaking from how badly he wanted to laugh.
The android silently folded his arms across his chest. Unable to stand it, the overly emotional one laughed out loud, bending in half:
— Alright, finish this thing! There's not much left, I just can't do it anymore, — he mumbled through his laughter, stepping aside.
Connor shook his head and answered the Lieutenant calmly, albeit evasively.
— I just can't believe how close to the truth Hank is! — Through laughter, the clone continued, but he was simply ignored, throwing a roll eyes.
(...)
All he has to do is shoot Kamski's android. He'll do that and find out everything he needs to investigate. It's easy. That's what he'll do, isn't it?
Once again, he finds himself amongst those damn lilies. But this time he won't let himself be indulged.
— Don't say anything, I'm not going to let you control my decision, — Connor threw in sharply, not even looking at his other self. He basically couldn't see him, as he was standing a couple steps behind him.
A rustling sound was heard, and the deviant immediately shortened the distance between them:
— I'm not going to tell you what to do, — he began softly, placing his hand gently on the interlocutor's shoulder. — I just wanted to clarify if you wanted to shoot her.
A common and stupid question, but for some reason the android was abruptly speechless for a moment.
— I have to take the shot.
— I'm not asking what you have to do. I'm asking what you want.
Connor still convinced himself to glance over his shoulder at the clone. The one was smiling almost imperceptibly, as if reassuringly.
— I don't have my own wishes, I'm acting in the interests of the investigation, — he reminded, but for the first time those words didn't sound as confident as they had before.
His companion smiled a little wider, and in his eyes you could really see something like... concern. Nonsense.
— I'm here with you, which means you have your wishes after all, — he assured quietly, as if trying not to scare him off.
The android shifted his attention to the gun in his hand.
He's going to shoot, isn't he? What the hell kind of wishful thinking? He's a machine, he needs to learn anything that will help stop the deviants, especially since so many missions have already been thwarted. He's not programmed to make mistakes, he has to show that he wasn't created for nothing.
...
— I'm... I'm not a deviant...
There was no point in being so stubborn about denying the truth, but Connor was still denying the obvious for some reason. Well, he didn't shoot. He just couldn't. Didn't dare.
Even if he wasn't a deviant, he certainly wasn't a normal machine with a single program code anymore. The thought used to be something that should have been frightening, but now it's something to take for granted.
Amanda would be displeased. But the image of the other him in front of his own eyes flashed before his eyes for a second, saying "I don't care what she thinks" again. Connor would have snorted at the irony if he weren't so preoccupied with the killing truth and the new questions.
Could he blame it on the other him this time?
(...)
His mission is to stop Markus.
At the beginning of his existence, he would have done it without hesitation.
But now he was plagued by the worst doubts he'd ever felt.
— It's time to decide, — the Jericho leader said imperiously, summarizing his persuasive speech.
A red wall appeared before his eyes. That wall that had restricted all his actions since the beginning.
Should he break it down? Should he completely become... alive?
The clone's hands rested gently on his shoulders.
Connor looked back at him over his shoulder apprehensively, but the clone only smiled again, just as soft and soothing as last time, but determination burned in his eyes.
— It's time to be free, — he pointed with one hand to the white lily in his pocket. — To begin all over again.
The android shifted his gaze to the wall. Would he be able to stand up for his independence? He had never felt so much confusion and fear of the unknown in one moment at the same time.
— I'll help you, — the other him said caringly, and covered one of the Connor's hands with his palm. He interlocked their fingers and moved his hands to one of the inscriptions and tore it off. — That's it, it's no big deal, — he said in a quiet tone of encouragement. — We can do that.
His hands shook involuntarily with excitement, but they could do it.
All the inscriptions were ripped off as if in an instant.
And it happened after all.
Connor had accepted his deviancy that had lived in him from the beginning. A deviancy that grew in him with each mission.
He accepted his inner deviant and allowed it to finally merge with himself.
He realized his freedom and allowed himself to become alive.
It can be said that he stepped forward and found himself on the opposite side of the wall.
Geez, I had no idea I'd be so eager to develop this. I guess I just liked this AU too much, haha. I hope you guys enjoyed it too. :)

What about Amanda and Connor's meeting after the deviant with the birds, but I'll rework it a little? Just a little bit.
Connor couldn't remember ever seeing rain in the garden before. But he clearly understood why it was pouring this time. He'd screwed up. He's excited to see Amanda with his whole program, but he realizes that on this mission he's disappointed her.
The woman's entire demeanor pointed to that. Her body language, her words. Well, it's his own fault. The information the android had been able to uncover was too small and insignificant to consider this case a success. He should have been more efficient.
— How is your relationship with the Lieutenant developing? — Amanda asked, hinting at the choice he had made and clearly expecting an explanation. Ah, if only the android could explain his actions on his own!
Connor felt something like a prick of guilt, as humans called it, but quickly pulled himself together, reminding himself that he couldn't feel anything according to the program.
— He looked grateful that I saved his life on the roof. He didn't say anything, but he expressed it in his own way...
The key is to keep your words stern and cold. Did he succeed?
The companion stopped, and the android also stopped pacing so that the umbrella still remained over her.
— It was a very irrational choice, Connor.
He realized that himself, but decided to keep quiet for now.
The woman took a half step toward him.
— You chose his life over the success of the mission.
Usually androids are programmed to believe that human life is more valuable than anything else. Was he wrong?
She slowly reached up to his face and ran her fingers almost weightlessly over his cheek.
— Cyberlife might suspect something wrong. And you know what happens after that.
Frightening images appeared before his eyes, as if Amanda were transmitting them through touch. Although, no, frightening isn't the right word, he doesn't feel fear, does he? Just images of his model being deactivated and then examining his body, looking for reasons for the mistake... brr, and yet it's not a pleasant sight. Did she remind him of that because she was worried about him after all?
— I'm not a deviant, — Connor said, seeming a little more emotional than he should have been. Honestly, he wasn't sure of his answer, even though he tried to hide such thoughts far away.
The woman merely removed her hand and gave the details of the new offense before directing the android to Anderson.
He wouldn't let her down. On this mission, he'll definitely show that he wasn't assigned to investigate deviants for nothing.
(But he'll still let them go out of the goodness of his heart, lol).

Connor, pointing to his injuries on his body from one of the missions: it doesn't look good, but it won't be long before the wounds heal and mend.
Hank, rummaging through the first aid kit: got it.
Connor: Lieutenant, what are you doi-
Connor: WAIT I don't need band-aids and bandages!
Hank, still trying to "heal" him: I DON'T CARE you're terrible to look at!
Connor, fighting back: I'LL RECOVER SOON ENOUGH!!
Hank: STOP WRIGGLING AND SIT STILL!!

I like the idea of the game not showing us all of Connor and Amanda's meetings, but just the main ones. And I like making up my own encounters based on that headcanon.
Nothing has forced Connor to delve into his inner world again. So far there was no new news of deviants, no new challenges. But the android had no other duties while he was in Cyberlife for lack of use, so he was mostly in the garden. Amanda didn't always show up here, though, but today managed to snatch some time to talk to her. A cozy, after-hours conversation, not about crime. A simple conversation about nothing, as people usually were.
They settled under the shade of one of the trees, at a small table. It could not be so easily noticed at first glance, and not at second glance either, only if one knew exactly where it stood. On the surface of the table were two cups of chamomile tea. Androids don't consume food the same way humans do, but you can do anything in the inner world, right? Pretend you're drinking a beverage and imagine the flavor.
The topics for the hapless dialog flowed by themselves, which pleased Connor. He basically enjoyed Amanda's company, he seemed to have realized that since his first awakening. They hadn't met that many times, always mostly talking about work, but the android realized that even that was enough for him to develop warm feelings for the woman. Was it hardwired into his program?
— What else have you learned for yourself, hm? — She asked with a half-smile, bringing the cup to her lips. It might have seemed like a question about possible news about deviants, but that wasn't the case at the moment. She was interested in what Connor had learned specifically for himself.
He thought for a moment, choosing what else to talk about.
— I've noticed that since the mission at Club Eden, Lieutenant Anderson's suicidal moods have become much less frequent. This is a superficial analysis, of course, but it's also a good result.
The stranger's cup suddenly dropped to the surface of the table with a clatter. The LED instantly recolored to a wary yellow, and the small smirk was replaced by a serious expression on the android's face.
— Ah, yes. Anderson, — Amanda said in a sort of odd tone, looking down with a slightly disappointed look. — And how often do you pay attention to his health? — She raised waiting, stern eyes to Connor.
He blinked, but answered almost immediately, direct and clear:
— We're partners, and I thought it was important for me to be aware of his well-being. And after I found out about his suicidal tendencies, I started watching him more closely.
The woman shook her head, bringing the cup to her face again and covering her eyes slightly.
— You shouldn't do that, Connor, — she said much more quietly. — You're wasting too much time and resources on the Lieutenant. He's the reason you missed the deviant on the roof.
She squinted disapprovingly, and the relationship with her lowered a little. Connor only looked away silently, realizing then that he had indeed acted unwisely... sort of.
— And at this rate, Cyberlife might get the impression that you're starting to feel something for him, — Amanda continued slowly, raising her eyebrows.
A clear hint of deviancy. Or a warning? Is she worried about him? Concerned? He'd like to believe it...
— I get it, — android nodded. — I really was starting to pay too much attention to the wrong things. I will focus solely on the missions.
He didn't quite know if he was telling the truth, or if he was just comforting his companion. Or maybe he was intimidated by the thought of being a deviant? After all, deactivation came after that... Stop, no, he is not a deviant, so such thoughts can't scare him in principle. He doesn't have "fear" in his program.
That's where he and Amanda parted ways that day.
... 👍.

Hank: I used to hate androids, but then Connor showed up. He's like a son to me.
Carl: I have my own blood child, but Markus is still another son to me as well.
Hank: ...
Carl: ...
Carl: do you want to discuss our difficult fatherhood over a bottle of whiskey?
Hank: I do.
Connor and Markus: (heavy sigh).

(Oh no, there's foul language in here, hide the kids).
Rk900: and this is normal for Lieutenant Anderson?
Rk800, smiling innocently: what are you talking about?
Rk900: I mean that you're literally sitting on the edge of his desk, and this isn't the first or last time this has happened.
Rk800, shoulders shrugging: Hank's fine with it. And it makes us more comfortable discussing new criminal dossiers. You should try it! (Waving his legs back and forth in the air).
Rk900: hmm...
(A while later...)
Gavin, approaching his workplace: well, have a fucking morning tin ca- WHAT THE FUCK?!
Rk900, sitting nonchalantly on the edge of Gavin's desk: (shrugging his shoulders).
Rk900: I was advised.
