i am also experimenting between 6mm and 7mm eyes. i love how derpy 6mm gives, but 7mm is pretty dang cute too

wow spent my whole sunday afternoon sewing! just whipped together a fleece carrying case with handles for this travel mirror i got & made of large scraps i had lying around. it was BARELY enough material 😭 no pressure or anything. i still need to add a zipper but feeling satisfied!

my neighbors across the street also dropped off some handmade doggy cookies!!! im so blessed. what a way to end the weekend!!

it was a lot of fun! i learned a lot, and it was a GORGEOUS day!!! we saw some adorable puppies and met some amazing people!

next time id love to flesh out a better grid wall and have more smaller items prepared (like the lil puggy!)

okay i know ive been posting a lot lately, but i've been working on this (initially dilapidating) sign for like 3 days and very excited that it's now in functional condition 😆

SOO excited in fact that i forgot to clean up a bit oops

but ive always wanted a neat little felt sign hehe

also it's kind of insane how quick i ran out of s's and n's 😭

shoot! did i mention these two are 95% biodegradable???

the blue denim is linen, the eyes are GLASS, and the rest (including the stuffing!) is cotton!

the bowties are the only things im not sure of the material (likely polyester) because i bought them when ac moore still existed (i still get kinda sad about that lmao)

still! very exciting stuff!

UHHHHHHHH apparently my last post was over a year ago.... oops. Well I've been trying to be very gentle with myself the past year, and after lots of reading and lots of journaling, I've been feeling more and more like myself. And happy! I'm so thankful! I feel like I can finally really organically start making things again and will make a point of it not to force things so much.

That being said, I have my first craft fair (in years!!!!) this saturday and will try to bum rush making a few more bear dolls 🙃 wish me luck!

WOOHOO I finished the prototype!! I've always wanted to make a lil house tissue box cover with the tissues as the "smoke" out of the chimney hehe at least that's the idea! I am also currently revamping my FREE PATTERNS section on my website and plan on adding this one if you're interested! Just don't ask me when cause..... I'm not sure hahahaha! Still working out the kinks!

can you believe I'm actually sticking to the list (kind of...)??? I had these leftover tiles from a secret santa gift I was working on a while ago so Steve and I started using them as coasters.

And then I found some old embroidery thread from a variety pack I've had for like ever and thought I'd try making little coaster covers hehe

I even wrote down what I did this time! A miracle, I know!!!!!

I'm still having a hard time keeping my edging neat, but feeling like a goofy scientist finding an old crochet blanket pattern and modding it into a small cardigan 🥴

CARDIGAN UNLOCKED!!!!! (with pockets!!) it's a little frumpy but finished my first no-pattern solo cardigan ever. It is WAY oversized 🤣🤣🤣 but I'm pretty happy with the color blocking!

Bigger projects always intimidated me, but I feel doing large wearables like these is pretty fun!!

This one's just for me, but Mother's Day is coming up quick so...

my back hurts lol but got a LOT of repotting/propagating done! Hopefully they survive the trauma okay 😫 if anyone local would like lil split leaf plants (and assuming they're still alive) hmu!! Would love to send them to good homes!

Hello friends! Long time no post! If I can be honest, I have definitely been in a creative slump for the past year or two. I get into these quick moods to do stuff and then it just as quickly dies out. I think I feel ready again but focusing way less on selling or branding or anything like that

partially because I feel bad that dog fur will definitely be a constant addition to my work anymore lol (and feel it would be unfair to ask people for money for these imperfections) and also partially because I just really want to refocus on myself and putting things together that makes me happy.

I want this hobby to just be an outlet for myself again and just want my insta and website (tumblr) to reflect that. Keeping it simple!

That being said, I will likely discontinue updating my Twitter and Facebook for now. I hope you will like what I come up with!

Naknicromo day 26: NKCM memories - sorry if you're sicka seeing the baby yodas rn lmao but I do have to say, as hard as it really freaking is to post something every day (serious props to people who do do this and for more than a month lmao), it has kept me pretty accountable in making progress with my projects! I've been progressing seriously just because I knew I had to post something new for WIP Wednesdays lmao, and I really am enjoying sharing more of my space and process with you. As much as I'd love to be able to say "I should keep doing this!" It's a bit much for me for sure long-term. I can just tell. Maybe just once a week or so? We'll see hahahaha.

Naknicromo day 25: feel good craft memories - lol omg so our xmas party of 2019 (whew before covid!), my friend Jaime and I apparently were the secret santas to this lovely pair of just-married friends, and we BOTH ended up making Baby Yodas for them!! Unplanned!!!! He needle-felted (I think that's what it's called), and I crocheted what was essentially my big amigurumi prototype!!! That was probably the best thing that's ever happened it always makes me smile so much thinking about it!!

I'm cheating a bit here I hope you don't mind hehe. Naknicromo day 22: sprint or marathon? - definitely marathon lol I love taking my time with my projects. I'd definitely say my projects turn out so wonky and terrible if I force myself to work on them. That said, I also absolutely prefer smaller objects than blankets and wearables (props to you knitters and crocheters who do it on regularly!! You have a plethora of patience that I do not possess hahahaha) Day 23: newest technique - I guess it's messing with the purling/knitting and forming ribbing patterns. It can be hard to get it right and stay consistent. It sometimes discourages me, but I'll keep trying! Day 24: WIP Wed - finally! Pictured here is the yellow bunny scarf I keep mentioning but never take a picture of lmao! I'm almost done. I just have to sew on the expressions, the faces, the bows, and close up the scarf. Wish me luck getting it done before NaKniCroMo ends!
