I recently watched the Stardust Memory OVA and I have some thoughts:

i'm going to be very honest here,

i felt like rewatching episode 11 bc "wow it was so good, i wanna experience it all again"

i need to rewatch ep 12 bc i don't think i understood everything that happened (which isn't unusual, it IS gundam) so a lot went over my head...

that being said, i got very emotional at the end for everyone's endings 😭 how many gundam shows do you get where (almost) everyone you care about lives 🤧 the music and the battle scene animation was FUCKING phenomenal

Believe me when I say that even though it's taken me forever to respond this post I've been tossing around how to reply to it ever since I read it @kebuyo😭

The Origin was my intro to Gundam as a whole, so I never understood the criticisms until I rewatched it earlier this month. It is decidedly very goofy and the characters overexaggerated, but I still can't help but love it. Just the idea of it being Char's fanfic is too funny 😂 Idk how he thought his killing spree would go over with Kamille tho...

On to the next point, in light of the recent episode's development, an amuro sighting might not be too far off after all. To be honest, I was ok with not seeing him because maybe he'd be living a (marginally) better life in the gqux-verse (I'd hope so anyway). Maybe he became an engineer, maybe he went back to live with his mom, maybe his dad decided to final pay attention to him (<.<) - the possibilities are endless 😆

if gundam the origin is char bullshitting kamille about how cool he was in his youth, then 0079 is amuro's "how I met your father"
