the lad had hoped to get a cold drink from one of the small coffee shops that forks had to offer before returning home from his very uneventful shift. however, taking the raging sea of people all flocking the incredible post-christmas sales was not something he took into account. luckily, the very familiar brunette had caught him before he stepped out into the bustling area — a gift itself, really. there was something much more exhilarating and comforting about her presence, a feeling he was certain nothing else could help him reach. perhaps that was the best part about moving to forks — getting to meet the brilliant girl stood opposite of him.   “   what’s wrong? the mighty parker can’t handle a few crazed shoppers?   ”   a grin curved his mouth, head tipping back a bit as he stepped toward her — studying the features that graced her face for only a moment.   “   and to think i walked an entire block just to indulge in a solid iced coffee,   ”   he feigned a frown, motioning toward the area behind her.

————–  a few more boot-clad steps and was close enough to recognize the male that had been walking into inevitable disaster. it had been pure luck that the two had met. being right when mars had moved in, anyone could have crossed paths with him that day and shown him around the town. there wasn’t much to see, just a few strip of shops making up main street, the high school, the hospital, and the park ; but parker had taken it upon herself to show him the absolute best candy store-ice cream shop combo on the olympic peninsula. the day had been a blast for her. the child of the moon had felt weirdly connected to the quirky male. just a few hours into knowing him and she the closeness she felt was akin to how she felt about her twin sister. parker wanted to divulge all of her secrets to him, even though she knew that was something she could never do.  ❛ i’ve done my fair share of slaying the crazed shopping beasts that pillage yonder down that road. ❜ the brunette’s voice took on a fake british accent, her chest puffing out, her back straightening. ❛ it is now my duty to save damoiseau like you from harm. ❜ after her little fun, mocking a knight of medieval times, she giggled, returning her posture to normal. ❛ i can make you an equally amazing ice coffee at my house ! ❜ the words left her lips without her really thinking them through, but it was too late. she hadn’t invited mars over before, and for good reason.

renesmee was in the music store playing the piano they had in there. she was planning on getting a part-time job there since the hybrid always loved being around music and art. and she had been playing piano pretty much her whole life, so when she went into the store she was just drawn to the instrument. “oh, i’m sorry if i was bothering you. it’s just went i see a piano i have to play it.” she chuckled.

————– felix was walking around the town, looking for something to get adrianna. he walked into the music store, perhaps he’d be able to find a record or a small enough instrument. anything would be suitable, really. then he heard the hybrid playing the piano. ❛ it’s mediocre at best. ❜ he shrugged off her playing. he did recognize the hybrid. he had been tasked with checking up on the cullens from time to time since the winter in the clearing.

piper was still so uneasy about being a child of the moon and knowing about the supernatural. she wished that she wasn’t turned into what she was and still was naive about the whole supernatural world. ever since that night her dad had been missing and her mom hasn’t been the same. she looked up from her book when she heard someone come into her house, “hey parker.” she smiled softly.

————– parker loved being a child of the moon. the immortality suited her, she thought. she had always been ambitious, too many things she wanted to do but so little time. now she had all the time in the world. losing consciousness and not knowing what happened the night of the full moons did suck, but that was once a month. a fair trade for an eternity. ❛ hey, pipes ! ❜ she said gleefully, crashing onto the couch beside her twin.

brianna was spending the day at the park with adrianna, luckily for the both of them the chilly forks weather didn’t bother them. brianna never felt cold since she was turned and her daughter was warmer than humans were. so it just led to a relaxing day. she noticed a familiar vampire nearby and picked up adrianna to rush over to him. 

“felix, what the hell are you doing here?” brianna knew that she shouldn’t swear in front of adrianna, but right now that didn’t matter. brianna came to forks to get away from the volturi and keep their daughter safe. but she also didn’t tell felix this is where she was going, so to see him here meant that this town wasn’t as safe as she thought it would be.

————– the only consolation to being in forks was that brianna and adrianna were away from all of this. or so he had thought. when he saw his mate, holding their daughter in her arms, walking up to him, he began to freak out. of course she would come back to her childhood home. ❛ what the fuck ? ❜ he mumbled under his breath. he really did not want to talk about this in front of their daughter. if she was any other toddler, it would be fine. but she was a hybrid and while she looked like a toddler, she was already way smarter than she appeared. ❛ there have been bodies found. over the past two months. we came here to investigate. ❜ he whispered under his breath, knowing brianna would hear. he reached out for their daughter, holding her on his hip. ❛ i told you daddy wouldn’t be gone for long, didn’t i ? ❜ he spoke with a smile, his free hand poking at her belly until she giggled.

          ❛     hey,   what   better   way   to   celebrate   christmas   and   kick   off   the   new   year   than   with   a   mass   murder?     ❜     sarcastic   venom   drips,   quip   surfacing   that   hasn’t   faded   since   her   transformation   years   ago.   it’s   the   dry   humor   that   makes   her   lips   press   together,   apology   being   muttered   beneath   her   breath.   the   brunette   reaches   up   to   run   a   hand   through   her   hair,   feigned   breath   falling   from   her   lips.   she’s   been   reading   the   paper   too   much.     ❛     if   i   could   nap,   i   totally   would   right   now.     ❜

————– ❛ a mass murder ? ❜ the brunette questioned, her brows furrowing. she was well aware who she was talking to. since her transformation about one year ago, the other children of the moon had caught parker up on who the key figures in the vampire world were. their war was with the volturi, but it was clear that if any others were to get into their way, they would be dragged down. the volturi knew the children of the moon would be coming for them. however, their existence in forks was still a secret and parker would not be the one who would let their secret out.

THROUGHOUT HEIDI’S FIVE centuries of existence, she came to learn that there are only two types of small towns, and both are defined by the people who populate them. The first type contained citizens who have become so insular in their isolation that they found any outsiders unwelcome. This one wasn’t any good. Nobody so much as gave her a minute of their time. The second was similarly remote but because of all the consequent boredom and stagnation, most appreciated the company of someone unfamiliar to liven up their dull lives. They tended to engage in small talk, and for Heidi, words were the tools she used for her dirty work. She had yet to determine which type Forks fell under.

Heidi scanned her surroundings for something heavy until she spotted a cardboard box full of china on a table outside a home decor shop. She picked it up with ease and promptly strode off before anyone noticed. Once she got about a block away and reached a sidewalk with plenty of passersby, she began her ruse. Pretending the box was too cumbersome for her, she fumbled and let it slip in her hands, making the dishes clatter. She hoped someone would take the bait. Known to no one but herself, Heidi was weeding out the aloof from the affable. Anyone who offered her help was her next target. 

❝ Excuse me? A little help please? ❞ she asked. 

————– felix hated coming to forks. the only good thing that had come out of this town was meeting his mate, brianna. the town was insufferable and with the cullens and their superiority complexes because they are v e g e t a r i a n s feeding in the town looses all of it’s appeal. not to mention the rancid smelling shapeshifters who keep watch over the people of forks and the reservation. one had to go outside the town limits if they wanted to keep their head attached to their bodies. the male caught sight of the familiar female, trying to pass off as a damsel in distress. the sight was comical, pulling a chuckle from the lips of the vampire. his feet carried him forwards until he was a few feet away from heidi. ❛ do you expect someone to fall for this ? ❜ he questions, leaning against a lamp post, his arms crossed over his chest.

DARK EYES SCAN over the gift card display in the local supermarket. it’s days past christmas now, and he should have bought something weeks ago for his co-worker. christmas shopping had never been charlie’s forte though, and time just seemed to fly by. “ excuse me       ” he begins to ask to a person nearby. “ any idea which one says sorry i forgot to get you a secret santa gift ? ” ( well it’ll probably take more than just a gift card. )

————– veniux took the distraction from the list of groceries one of his mothers had forced into his hand as he walked out the door. some of the things on this list were foreign to him. what is a bolete ? the male’s dark hues scanned the gift cards quickly. ❛ i don’t think you’re going to find anything that makes up for that here, officer swan. ❜ he looked at the older gentleman with apologetic eyes. ❛ maybe you can get away with a pre loaded card ? let them choose want they want ? ❜

-------------- parker had been walking through town for the past hour, bundled up in her coat, hat, and mittens to keep warm. the streets were packed with people moving in and out of the little shops down main street. the few days after christmas, when everyone is out spending their christmas money and exchanging gifts they did not want. the brunette turned off, walking down a more barren street. ❛ i wouldn’t continue that way if i were you, ❜ she spoke up to someone walking towards town, a small laugh escaping her with an accompanying smile. ❛ it’s like a war zone back there. ❜

( kaylee bryant, cisfemale, she/her. ) — parker hawkins has been a forks resident for two years, now. they’re a nineteen year old child of the moon. lately, i’d say they’re pretty compassionate, but sometimes that’s overwhelmed by the fact that they’re irascible. it’s pretty clear that they stand on the side of the children of the moon, and don’t want to see this end in a war.

parker moved to forks, washington, with her parents and her twin sister, piper, two years ago. they relocated from salt lake city, utah, after their father got a job in port angeles. he worked as a writer and got hired on for a piece commissioned by a wealthy individual. 

the family was always close, told each other everything. so it was weird when their father or mother didn’t divulge too much about what the commission was. however, the twins didn’t question it. 

all was well until one night, their father didn’t come home. the twins set out in the middle of the night, under the glow of the full moon, to search for him. what they found instead was the black silhouette of a creature larger than six feet standing above them. both tried to flee, but the monster was much faster than them. 

it was a shock when they woke up with a few scrapes and bumps, and what appeared to be a dog bite. their father never came home and to this day, one year later, they don’t know what happened to him. their mother was a wreck, forced into a depressive, catatonic state. and the twins… well, on the next full moon they were claimed by damascus’ pack. 

unbeknownst to the hawkins twins, the man they thought was their father isn’t actually their biological father. when they were born, their mother made a deal with their biological father. the twins were given a chance to live a normal life until the day their father decided it was time for the twins to meet their destiny.

( gavin leatherwood, cismale, he/him. ) — veniux sombrosa has been a forks resident for nine years, now. they’re a twenty year old human. lately, i’d say they’re pretty adventurous, but sometimes that’s overwhelmed by the fact that they’re gullible.

veniux was born and raised in california until he was eleven years old, when he moved to forks with his two mothers. he wasn’t too devastated when he moved. he was quite the quirky kid, always running about and getting into trouble. he didn’t have many friends, only one or two along the way, but that never bothered him. he wasn’t leaving much behind in california.

he had a rambunctious nature and most times, his mothers didn’t know what to do with him. he had always been in his own mind to keep him entertained. he would explore the woods outside and let his imagination give him all the entertainment that he needed. 

there was one night that he was out in the woods under the cover of night. there had always been something more relaxing about night than day for him. on that night, he witnessed a vampire drinking blood from an animal. he didn’t stick around for long to find out more about what he had seen, but since then, he has been keeping the secret to himself. 

it has slowly festered and gnawed at him over the months. he isn’t sure how much longer he can hold it back. he has since gone out and looked for whatever he saw, but has come up empty. 

he would have told his mothers or his best friend about what he saw, but he knows that he has a tendency to take whatever they say as the truth, and he doesn’t want them to convince him that what he saw was a figment of his imagination.

( alex fitzalan, cismale, he/him. ) — felix has been a forks resident for two weeks, now. they’re a twenty year old vampire. lately, i’d say they’re pretty confident, but sometimes that’s overwhelmed by the fact that they’re merciless. it’s pretty clear that they stand on the side of the volturi, and do want to see this end in a war.

felix has been with the volturi for the past two centuries. he was loyal to a fault and never questioned the leaders, especially aro. he had no reason to. they gave him a family and when he first became a vampire, that is what he had needed. he went with the flow, falling into his role perfectly. 

for centuries nothing disturbed this until he met a certain gifted human, brianna reynolds. felix had always heard about vampires finding their mates; he had just assumed that it would never be for him and he had been fine with that. but once he met brianna everything changed. 

she challenged him and took none of his shit. the volturi almost became a thing on the backburner compared to her. brianna was a gifted human and needed to be protected from the volturi, or else they would want her to be changed as they had wanted bella changed. felix quickly assumed the position of her body guard. 

the two were together for two years before their relationship took a 180 degree turn. brianna got pregnant and felix was about to become the father of a bouncing baby hybrid. just as bella, brianna needed to be turned when their daughter was born. the two have remained a secret for the past year, living on the outskirts of voltera while felix worked on the inside to keep their existence out of the eyes of the volturi.

since meeting brianna, his loyalty has shifted. brianna dislikes the volturi and she has managed to get felix to realize that the volturi was wrong in a lot of their actions and that he shouldn’t take the leaders’ words as the law anymore.
