isnt it so sickening how in the start of book 1 damen thinks laurent is this cold bloodless cruel piece of stone but in reality laurent thinks of himself as like a rotting flimsy shell of a human that can be so easily crushed. and laurent thinks damen is this barbaric ruthless prince killer (who'd fuck anything with a hole, too, because thats exactly what his uncle made him think horrible men do) but in reality damen is also just trying to keep it together through the horrors.

absolutely absurd circumstances for both of them but they cant see the other's yet. damen thinks laurent's untouchable and unbreakable (youre not a coward) but laurent thinks himself breakable on contact. he's straining just to keep himself upright. laurent thinks damens unbreakable (flogging scene, imperturbable kingly demeanour) but damens never felt more violated in his life.

laurent is deathly terrified of damen and damen can't see that. damen thinks laurent is dangerous too but laurent can't see that either (because even when laurent is clinging onto the power that the system has given him, he feels powerless... he even expects damen to hurt him and he knows perfectly well damen has the wherewithal to do so)

Thailand legalising weed for the entire country all at once, was lowkey such a funny event because literally everyone went crazy with it. They were putting weed in everything, man, we had weed fried chicken, weed omelette, weed soda, weed lotion, weed popcorn, tempura weed, it was insane. They were putting weed in fucking everything they could think of even shit that you're not eating, they were putting marijuana in like lipbalm.
