I’ll never forget my friend who I met when I was 16 and he was 26. We stayed friends for years, when I was 18 and going through a bad break up he took me in briefly. He lived with a couple of dudes in a big house. One night he was out on a date and there was a party and though I’d never drank much one of his friends kept pushing me to take more and more shots of moonshine and shot gun beers. We were on the porch talking and I was slightly passing out and he started to try and feel me up. And I stood up and walked towards the door and he pushed me up against the wall and kissed me. He asked me to go around to the back of the house with him and I slipped away into the house. I texted my friend, “I think your friend is trying to hook up with me.” This man sped home, with his date in the passenger seat. And he came into the house and sat across from his friend and gave him a death glare. He started talking to his friend as if it were casual but though his mouth said one thing, his eyes said another, it was like they were having a secret conversation. And the message was clear, back the fuck off. He was my hero that night. Funny part of the story was that, the kid was in law school to become a lawyer. But was actively trying to sexually assault an intoxicated 18 year old who he provided alcohol to.
