hi i wanted to try translating the korean eternal sugar trailer for myself and analysing it. i barely know any korean so this is mostly cobbles together from various translators, please please correct me if i got anything wrong!!!

ETERNAL SUGAR:

i think this will either be in her gacha animation, or her talking to holly the first time

HOLLYBERRY COOKIE:

tiger lily!!! shes going to be important!! the other trailer with just animation also shows tiger lily running alongside the hollyberry royal family right before they get transported (somehow) to sugar's kingdom, so i think tiger lily will (finally) be relevant, maybe being the person who is immune to sugar and her lackeys' powers due to growing up in the forest or something, and then she helps holly...

Aren't you guys too worried about me~?

HELLO?? seril what are you doing here?? thats her render from the release of the first beast yeast chapter, how come sugar is thinking about her?? shamil also mentioned him in his chapter but they had directly interacted, but i dont think either mystic or burning even mentioned her in their chapters. maybe sugar is trying to get more information about seril to defeat her guardian power..?? and shes asking holly maybe?

the translations said something more in line with "arrows shooting at" hollys heart, which i presume is a korean idiom of some sort meaning you want someone's heart, correct me if im wrong. this might not be explicitly romantic but this makes me curious as to if holly has had previous suitors? i mean royalberry had to come from somewhere right?

also the implication that holly feels lonely is very interesting, considering she has a large family, thriving kingdom, and many friends. deep down she may still feel lonely or separated from the others. it makes me think of how her interactions with the other ancients involve her trying to mediate between golchi and seril, and trying to take care of pyuba and dacca. shes got something of a mom friend role in the group but their friendships are all falling apart and it doesn't seem like she has anyone to lean on for help, like she feels she has to carry the burden of keeping everyone happy all by herself

But don't worry~ your empty heart can be filled with love!

i think its interesting how the official en translation makes it so sugar is offering to care for holly, whereas the original makes it more like shes encouraging holly to take care of herself.

HOLLYBERRY COOKIE:

[Only myself]...

ETERNAL SUGAR:

Only [yourself].

she steps back as sugar steps forward. someone smarter than me can probably properly evaluate the implications of this, but holly seems very cautious of this whole paradise, even as she's considering sugar's words.

i don't think she'll be able to entirely take this advice to heart (lol), still worrying about the other hollyberryians, but she might go along with sugar's advice for the first chapter and try to relax a bit.

HOLLYBERRY COOKIE:

"Hear me, all you who have set foot on this earth, and do not look back.

Before the devil comes in her sweetest [form/look]."

where did holly hear this advice? she has been in beast yeast before as i previously mentioned, so maybe she has heard this from other cookies in beast yeast, although i don't think that's the case. maybe it's pitaya who tells her this

"The sweetest [form/look]"... What does that mean?

hmm i dont think she realises sugar is evil, or at least, that this is the beast's kingdom. otherwise she'd be able to fully put the dots together and realise that sugar is the so called "devil" na?

this is just a side note but that's two beasts we've heard described as demon/like (although burning is more akin to a rakshas whereas sugar seems to be based off of the traditional christian devil linking in with the fact that she's the beast of sloth, one of the seven deadly sins).

overall i think this episode will go as many predicted but with some differences— sugar convinces holly and her kingdom to rest in this seeming paradise, the hollyberrians are more than happy to rest and see it as perfect. maybe theyll say it's even better than the hollyberry kingdom, that sugar takes good care of them, which may cause holly to break down and resist less as she feels like she's not good enough for her kingdom and she fails at keeping people happy.

im less sure about what will happen in the second chapter, but i think the whole gorgeous paradise that we see in the trailer is actually an illusion, and the cookies are still in danger, they just don't realise it. this could also be hinted at in the other wordless trailer, where the cupid cookie shoots hollyberry and everything suddenly transforms into a beautiful paradise. it could be that the cookies could sent to a different land, but i think it's just as likely that they're under a spell that makes them see and feel something else.

i think as part of sugar's power of sloth, she'll also take away the other cookies will to act— for the main hollyberrians they'll get get lazier and more relaxed, but anyone who tries to fight back will find they literally feel weaker and have less energy.

i think this is where tiger lily will be key, because she's a very determined cookie who grew up in the dangers of the forest and wouldn't be easily tempted by the notion of rest and happiness, because that's a very foreign concept to her.

i hope the chapters involve pitaya somehow because they're very close to holly, but id understand if it didnt or if they entered at the last moment, because that would take away from hollys spotlight and lower the stakes. also i hope hollys awakened form is like one of those western dragons because pleeeaaaaaase
