This is my ramble space. I am a historical fencer, author of fantasy murder mysteries, occasional traveler and would be hermit. I drink a lot of tea and hoard books as part of my retirement plan. Ask me anything!

Name one of my books that doesn’t heavily feature water or my homeland.
Spoiler alert: you can’t 🍉🌊 (I think-there are so many🤣🤣)
Here is Frosted, a Regency pirate novel, among other things, in its natural element haha.
Currently writing about pirates too.. What is happening? Exciting news going out in my newsletter on Monday! Don’t miss it!
Hint: new book📚📚📚 might be actual tomorrow? Free? What? https://www.instagram.com/p/CR_eiH2okSE/?utm_medium=tumblr

Today we celebrate #pabloneruda along with #nationalpoetrymonth - if only the link would work http://apenandfire.com/pablo-neruda-the-dead-woman/ The Dead Woman is sad, powerful and oddly uplifting and it is so fun to read aloud. https://www.instagram.com/p/CNKx1MrHFv1/?igshid=1an1lr242g9gz

I needed to read this today. @neil-gaiman always knows what to say. Sometimes I just sit here and wonder what I am doing. How I managed to waste my time so much and not ge to the point I hoped I would be. But there is time. Just take a breath and keep moving forward.
Hello sir, I have a question that’s been haunting me for a few years, although it really shouldn’t. I’m worried about being too old to start to find success as a screenwriter. I’m 24 but I’ve been writing scripts for a decade and I feel as if I’m already 4-5 years too late to get my scripts sold and produced. When will it officially be too late for me to become a screenwriter? And should I start finding a new career path if it is?
I was 29 before I was hired to write my first movie script. I'm now 60 and I have to say no to most of the people who want me to write scripts. James Ivory won an Oscar for best screenplay at 89, is now 92 and anyone would hire him to write a script.
It will officially be too late when you are dead, and unofficially too late when you stop trying or caring.
