is it possible to find a doctor who will not talk to you as if you are a 6-year-old who knows nothing about biology

I know this looks super unreal, but check this out:
I don't have permission to embed the photo, but here's another boomslang, taken by a different photographer in 2018. I think this is a really good example to compare with the above.
The babies genuinely just look like this!!! Uncanny smoothness, ridiculous eyes, and everything. It's wild!
The actual iNaturalist observation is here. Looking through Tim Brammer's other photos, I'm not seeing any red flags that would suggest AI enhancement. It's important to think critically and to stop and ask questions when something seems off to you; just be careful about drawing conclusions based on vibes.

Don’t boop this snoot: Meet the Boomslang (Dispholidus typus)! 🐍This snake can open its jaws as wide as 170 degrees. Its venom, which is especially potent, affects the circulatory system—preventing blood from clotting and causing serious internal bleeding. Found in parts of Africa including Botswana and Zimbabwe, the boomslang typically feeds on prey like lizards and frogs.

#this isn't in response to anyone specific! just a general trend in comments both here and on amnh's facebook when i went to find the source#in this case it is not too difficult to find other examples that date back from before photos were so readily “AI enhanced”#this is very consistent with those#although boomslangs undergo a lot of change in appearance thru different life stages#so i think it wouldve been nice if amnh had clarified that this was a juvenile#i thought it looked unbelievable when i first saw a photo of a hatchling years ago so i can't blame anyone#well unless you're saying definitively that it is ai because you can tell from the pixels#in contrast: yknow that one springtail eating a slime mould? i couldnt find the exact photo that had been posted anywhere else#i found the original unaltered photo and a couple of others from the same shoot. but the one going around here did seem to be altered

Development files for Yoshi's Island contain this bizarre text that appears to be someone's personal account of buying a TV (translated from Japanese in the image).
What this is doing inside the files, and whether it was ever meant to be used as part of development itself (such as e.g. as a test messge) or whether it was completely unrelated and simply ended up there as a mistake, is unknown.

We are not seeking sympathy — we are asking for a chance to live.
For months, we have been living under constant bombardment and siege. The most basic human rights have become a distant dream. There isn’t enough food, no clean water, no electricity, and no safety. We go out searching for something to ease the hunger, and most days, we return with nothing.
My family and I are trying to hold on with what little we have left. Hunger is exhausting us, and fear never leaves our side. Even aid has become rare, and the roads to distribution centers are filled with danger and death.
We write these words with only one hope — that our voices will be heard. If you can donate, please do. And if you cannot, at least help us by sharing this message.
We are not numbers. We are human beings, just trying to survive.
