obsessed with characters being saved against their will. being knocked unconscious and carried away from a danger they won't stop trying to fight. being shoved through a portal somewhere far away and safe right before it closes. trying to self-sacrifice only to have the exact person they're trying to save swap their places at the last second. getting the only cure to the disease or curse bc the person administering it loves them too much to give it to anyone else, including themselves. being thrown to safety right as they had accepted dying. someone else they thought had gotten to safety running back to drag them out of danger. it's so fucking tasty

all goofing aside I genuinely don't understand the urge to reimagine Taylor Allison Swift as a secretly queer icon when the pop music scene(TM) is like. literally overflowing with women who actually like women. Gaga and Kesha and Miley and Halsey are right there. Rina Sawayama and Hayley Kiyoko and Rebecca Black and Kehlani and Victoria Monét and Miya Folick if you're willing to get slightly less top 100. Janelle and Demi for them nonbinary takes on liking girls. like what are we doing here. like I'm not even saying you can't enjoy Taylor but why would you hang all your little gay hopes on her.

one of the funniest things about cooper howard is he let the wool be pulled over his eyes for years by vault tech (lost acting roles over supporting them, did commercials for them) all because his wife said so (he really really loved his wife) but the second he found out his dog wouldn’t be allowed in the vaults he was like wait a damn minute hold up hold on hell NO!!!! and committed espionage to listen in on a top secret meeting between the most powerful people in the world. he could allow corrupt capitalist doomsday fear tactics because his girl said so but not liking dogs is where he drew the damn line

This is because everything in my life requires work:

maintaining friendships

keeping up with my hygiene

managing bills

making money

remembering my basic needs

sleeping regularly

outputting creatively

All requires some aspect of work for me.

And when everything in your life requires work, your balance goes out the window.

If you're neurodivergent and overwhelmed — I see you.

If you're chronically ill and overwhelmed — I see you.

You're not dysfunctional.

You're not incapable.

You're doing your best.

ngl on my first watch, I sort of read Charles' reaction to Monty as a very specific sort of jealousy, in that I imagined him shooting his shot with Edwin very early on and getting turned down (probably unknowingly on Edwin's part), which Charles accepted with the same cheer and grace he accepts most things Edwin does. And over the years it was fine because Edwin never showed any interest in romance at all, certainly not in guys, so Charles figured hey, it's not personal, and we're still the most important person in each other's lives

And then Monty happens, and suddenly it looks like Edwin is interested in guys. Which then must mean that he just wasn't interested in Charles specifically

Which was why he reacted Like That to Monty and (to an extent) the Cat King

When Crystal started seeing those lights around Niko's head i thought it was because crystal was falling in love with her and we were going to get a cute little sapphic love story!!

I thought it was a visual representation of her gift to falling in love and I feel a bit cheated that it isn't!

we still get immediately shoved out of our immersion in tv shows or films when The Girl find a dead body and immediately shrieks - we just don't find it realistic because we're pretty confident most people would gasp rather than shriek (i.e. sharp inhale rather than sharp exhale) and it also feels unnecessarily (and predictably) misogynistic too, as men encountering corpses almost never do the same on screen

also of course please do tell us if you've actually encountered a corpse unexpectedly, because tumblr is absolutely a place where some people have done this thing and we love a good anecdote

suddenly imagining "burst into song" as a potential response
