hi! yes you can make them non-default by just unchecking the default button in sims4studio. the tutorial included in the post should lead you to that button :)

Im sorry if you've been asked before, but how did you make your beautiful cas backgrounds 😮 like with the added furniture and stuff on the wall--did you use blender?

no worries at all!! the only time i “added” something was for the gyaru cas background, where i added the beanbag in the corner. other than that, everything was a 2d and i just did it as a recolor! a tip to do this and made it feel more realistic is to use the “drop shadow” or the “outer glow” feature (in a black color) in photoshop to make it seem slightly raised from the wall!

to add the beanbag, i just deleted the plant in blender and added the beanbag. i also deleted all the vertex groups so there wasn’t any issues importing into s4s. make sure when you do this to fit the uv map of the object onto little dica’s uv map (obv not intersecting any of his uvs)
