LaDS characterization appreciation post. Things I just really appreciate about the writing for these characters: Xavier: Characterized as an old man in young man's body. Wears orthopedic sneakers and old man sweaters. Texts like a Gen X or Boomer who never moved past the texting style of 2 decades ago. Constantly falling asleep like an old person. Pretends to be (or is) out of touch with literally everything. Zayne: Highly emotionally constipated over achiever. 100% a Millennial. Doesn't know the meaning of business casual. Texts as formally as he dresses. Put his entire personality into liking sweets and the MC. Has to pretend he doesn't like things or he runs the risk of showing Feelings. Probably needs to go to therapy and learn how to heal his inner child. Rafayel: Older Gen Z personality. Uses a lot of slang and sloppy formatting in his texting. Dresses "young" and "stylish" with a splash of "weird artist assassin shit." (Seriously, what's up with the back brace belts?) Fakes being social to cover up his misanthropy. Lowkey really depressed and has low self-esteem, pretends to have a big ego to hide this.

Sylus: Definitely an older Millennial personality. Tries to use slang periodically and fails like every time. (Saying "nice" after biting your hand, really?) Texts like a normal person, weirdly. His entire wardrobe is based off a billboard he saw when he first came to the N109 Zone. This makes me think he actually does not know how to pick his own wardrobe. His entire personality is loving weapons and MC. Bro needs to diversify his hobbies.

—he hasn’t. this is how he has always been. he’s the most consistent actually out of the three because he’s the same xavier every time

how do I begin to explain that in the jp dub he’s always been this kinda overconfident aloof pouty jealous mf — ITS JUST THAT, all these are tied together by the grace he has as a prince + his natural kindness so I think in the en dub it seems to be toned down a lot

Explaining where these pictures are from:

- Basically someone (not Kirin) took a screenshot of Xavier's pants and saw that there was a packet of you know what in his pocket

- The same person then analysed the 'Veiled Whispers' background and found the supposed "packet" (see below) and basically it's a very, very thin "packet", 0.01 to be exact. Now i don't know what unit of measurement this is in but all you need to know is that it's EXTRA thin ☺️

- I mean we all know what happened after that kiss on the shoulder, right? 😏

- The last photo where Xavier is holding the "packet" is an edited photo made by "Kirin" on Twitter. Their post was the first one I saw about this topic that made me cackle 🤣
