     Quite the gargantuan fellow he was, but also quite the gentleman, it seemed! A gentle giant, as they would say. She smiles, resting a hand on her hip with an impish expression. ❝ Oh, hardly! It takes more than a few little boys to ruffle MY feathers. ❞ Circus, he’d said.. ah, so she’d found the right place, then! ❝ Actually, maybe you could help me! You see, I’m looking for someone.. ❞

                 ° Well at least there was one good thing. This lady’s day wasn’t ruined by some thugs, the circus couldn’t have the patrons feeling uncomfortable. He was grateful for his size that he could just scare off people like that.  Turning his attention to her once more he, blinked.  “Looking for someone? Who could that be...?”  He was certain none of them knew who she was, so she must have been looking for a newer recruit.   °

It is, isn’t it? He’s quite fond of it himself, really. He closes his eyes with a tiny nod and smile.  ❝ Why, thank you. ❞

There’s a minuscule jolt of anxiety as Jumbo leaves him– He’s coming back, he said so– before Alois contents himself with examining the area around him, first just glancing about, then padding over to the nearest tent to have a look at it. 

His saviour’s return draws his attention back, and he eagerly accepts the bread. Between bites, he remarks,  ❝ Haven’t slept in a tent before. ❞ He’s slept in loads of places too– but never tents. He’d always thought it might be fun. 

                 °  “Oh sleeping in a tent isn’t so bad, ya get a bed to yourself and free shelter. Sure there’s no heat but blankets are enough...” Jumbo explained letting him eat while walking towards the nicer tents, to his own tent. “I can sleep on the ground tonight, since there’s only one bed in my tent and youd on’t have your own bed yet...”   He wouldn’t entertain the idea of sharing a bed, he was so large he was afraid of rolling over and squishing him. 

“I’m glad you seem alright, the streets can be rough...” He added, opening the flap to his tent. He’d have to see about getting the boy his own tomorrow.   °
