i wanted to try a color palette challenge again so i picked the first palette from here! i thought picking needlestar, the nervous leader of wishclan, was a fitting choice for a palette called "anxiety". (he is certainly familiar with the feeling.)

my profile picture is a clangen character, so i might as well share it here as well! this is birdstar, the leader (and currently only member) of ghostclan. hopefully i'll draw a full body of him at some point so i can show off his markings.

hello! this is a clangen sideblog run by @coopbella. instead of a comic following the adventures of a single clan like most clangen blogs, this blog is a place for me to dump all of my random clangen art and writing snippets i've created for my various save files.

traditionally, the stuff on here will not be in order (i have a lot of different ideas from various points in my cats' timelines), however i may decide to create a couple moon update comics every once in a while for fun! don't expect frequent posts of any kind, though. i'm primarily a human-focused artist and i am not prone to finishing things.

you can send asks directed at me or any of my cats that show up/are mentioned on the blog! if you ask my cats, i may have them answer in-character with a little doodle, but no promises.

clans featured on this blog:

newtclan: when a housefolk boat containing a group of ship's cats sinks a little ways offshore, the deceased shard answers newt's dying wish to protect his friends and grants him nine lives and the name wishstar. he founds a clan on the beach by a swampy forest (and struggles to deal with his clan's various pranks and shenanigans). ghostclan: inspired by @/castaway-clan, this save was started with only a single living cat. after the rest of his clanmates were killed in a cavern collapse, the elderly birdrip was forced to take on the role of leader and attempt to rebuild his decimated clan. the remains of cavernclan were renamed to ghostclan after the other clans' original assumption that the mostly-white birdstar was a spectre.

emberclan: an attempt to play a more aggressive clan than my normal playstyle. following the deaths of most of his clan at the paws of rogues aligned with clan traitors, sycamorestar vows to make his clan strong enough to survive... no matter the cost. he will never let its flame die. wishclan: a clan in the mountains led by the nervous leader needlestar. it's the same clan as wishingclan, another save of mine, just many, many years in the past.
