Introduction

Welcome to ships-inking, where I, @penguin-in-a-box, and my shipmate, @class-wizard, post art and short stories of our OCs from various Dungeons and Dragons games.

Wait, Now Who am I shipping?

There are two main ships you will see on this blog.

Darren and Inasha

Darren and Inasha are the Original Ship, and are habitually referred to as The Ship. We're big supporters of Talk Like a Pirate Day (September 19th) and run a pirate-themed one shot every year. In 2019 I was tasked with running the first of such games, and as I went about designing my crew The Ship began. The Lore: Inasha, 27, absolute babe and captain of the Crimson Crest. Darren, 25, assigned dweeb at birth by the rest of the crew, but is somehow still the first mate. There is a running betting war among the crew of whether Darren could ever actually pull the captain or not. The kicker? They're already together, they just don't tell the crew because it's none of their business. How to Read: These stories were written out of chronology, and read the best that way. You learn about things as you need to, not as they happen.

Kaine and Heinrich

When Class' brother said he wanted to run a long-running campaign for us, we knew one thing for certain: we wanted to romance each other. So we went about designing our characters, unknowingly making two people so perfectly suited for each other it couldn't possibly not sail... right? We refer to this ship as Kainrich, and their story continues to unfold, even now. The Lore: Kaine, 22, is a human cleric whose rough and tumble life has made her punch first, heal later. Heinrich, 21, is a first generation aasimar and a paladin with a strong moral compass and a really big sword. Traveling along with them is Xiv, a crow familiar that managed to make the wizard who summoned him his slave instead of the other way around. Poor Mud. Joining later is Gillian, a wizard rogue that's constantly using magic to keep his fancy clothes clean. Together they set about a quest to save the world from some really freaky stuff, discovering new things about themselves along the way. How to Read: Mainly written in chronological order, minus a few snippets and flashbacks. Will be posted the same way. It's worth noting that there is canon and non-canon content for this ship . We've been playing this game for a year and a half, and we've been writing shippy fic long before there was an inkling of romance in the campaign. I've decided to open character portrait commissions! Prices will vary depending on the style. Check out info below!

Digital Art:

For anime or videogame characters, it's 5$ for a bust sketch and 10$ for a full body sketch.

For OCs, it's 10$ for a bust sketch and 15$ for full body sketch

For bust full-color, I charge 30$

For full-body full-color, I charge 50$

And for painted style, I charge 25$ (altho I can only do busts)

Commissions for digital should take less than a week! Sketches less than 3 days!

Traditional Art

If you're interested in owning a physical original...

For watercolors I charge 15$ plus shipping for bust and 25$ plus shipping for full body. My watercolor paper is on the smaller side, but I can size up upon request!

For copics, I charge 30$ plus shipping for greyscale (paper size A4)

And I charge 50$ plus shipping for full color
