One guard says whatever the first guard to speak says because he's afraid of being left out. One guard claims the opposite of whoever was first to speak because he's a contrarian. One guard does that fuckass postmodern "what is truth" song and dance because he doesn't actually know which door is the correct one, he lost the briefing packet and for obvious reasons he can't pick a door to check in person. when i first heard about the male loneliness epidemic i was like oh yeah close camaraderie and bonding between men is often discouraged in favor of competition or, if not discouraged, at least filtered through a lens of individualism that precludes deep connections. and then i learned what people meant by it (men arent getting laid) to which i say skill issue
#its so hard to gaf about the actual issues men face caus its like Well u make everyone else on earth face some form of oppression#and they handle it to varying degrees. for some people they have shit opportunities but a lot of people get by despite the issues#but ooouiihhhhh the moment anything is hard or difficult for a man. They act like u shot them#additionally so much of it is self inflicted/social in a way that can be avoided so it feels extra silly to me#like. u can find other men who want connection and real friendship theyre out there#in fact your current friends probably want it too everyone is lonely#but nooo its just sooooo hard to take some control of your own social group. ok.#like i have a high standard for friends. i don't get close to or try really to befriend people with no interest in any deeper connection#because of this i have avoided most of the mishaps a lot of teenagers have with shallow friends or whatever#it is hard for me to comprehend why these men cant take a little agency and vet out potential friends mlre#hangar
