she did gave credit to the pack by saying 'they saved my life' but to me it felt unecessary to have that 'stiles saved me' line just atfer that because he's already included in the 'they' and to me that's what it should have stayed a 'they' because it was team effort and putting such emphasis on stiles actually diminished the roles the others played imo which is why i was a tad annoyed by this but it was not directed towards lydia but towards the writers

Stiles saved Lydia so many times and he never had the credit. Remember that moment, when he was ready to die on a field just to save Lydia’s life? “Just kill me, I don’t care anymore”. Jackson took her to the hospital after and she didn’t even know Stiles begged Peter not to touch her. This time is different. She finally saw him and how much he cared, the accent was on that. Stiles is only human, he doesn’t have anything, not even a freaking bat, and yet he was there all the time, he came up with the plan, he was running through the tunnels with Theo and gave him a tip how to find Lydia faster with that tube, he stayed with her when it wasn’t safe at all, he was literally hugging a bomb, he bled but… He. Was. There. No. Matter. What. And he would stay till the end even if it ment he might die faster than anyone. Covering Lydia from glasses and begging her to open her eyes. The pack, of course, did everything possible to save her too and they risked their lives as well but Stiles saved not just her body but her mind by just being there and saying simple words that could help not to fall apart and go crazy for good. It was 100% necessary for him, who always wants to help and says he’s not a hero, to hear it - especially after he killed Donovan - that he saved someone. “Instead of taking a life, you manage to save one. Something like that can help”I agree that the pack did more than he did, no questions, but Lydia saw mostly Stiles, what was she supposed to do? “They saved me, mom” - and then a long list of names including Mason and Hayden she hasn’t even saw. But she saw Stiles most of all. I guess that’s why.
