Things I expect to see on Skam France season 5 from a main with glasses™ :

Entering a warm room after being in the cold and having your glasses fog up

Trying to cook (over a boiling pot, or using the oven) or even drinking a hot beverage and having your glasses fog up

When it starts raining and you can’t see anything anymore

Honestly any single time the thing that’s supposed to let you see fails you and you can’t see

The struggle™ of learning how to put on contact lenses

vs. when you’re already a pro but your friends get weirded out when you casually stick your finger in your eyeball like it’s nothing

When you inadvertently fall asleep while wearing your glasses and your frame bends

Wanna watch a movie while lying down, maybe putting your laptop next to you on the bed? LOL NOPE

Using headphones and suffering pain from hell for the constant pressure they put on your glasses rods that consequently try to get engulfed in your head

Dark circles and nose pads marks

Still complaining that you can’t see shit, even with your glasses on

That weird moment when you wake up and you have to feel your nightstand in order to find your glasses so that you can function like a human being

“Wait I can’t hear you I don’t have my glasses on“ *puts on glasses* “Ok, go on“

“oooooooh You look soo good without your glasses on“ - “…“

maxence saw eliott’s ig post and it reminded him of his own tattoo so he decided to do a story about it……. yeah he’s eliott demaury’s biggest fan love that for him

So, this is just me rambling, but I’ve been thinking about Eliott’s POV in the trailer which then led me to think about Skam France using time as an emotional tool to kill us all, and since I’m borderline sleep-thinking at this point, I thought it was the perfect moment to not give a flying fuck and just write it down.

It basically turned into an essay: advance with caution.

The live experience

I think we all know how powerful the live experience of Skam is. We’re fed throughout the week, becoming Skam-addicts and suddenly, without knowing how it happened, we’re in the mains’ head, feeling their emotions as if they were our own (and imo, they probably are).

We get it, but do we actually realise why that is?

To be honest, I had never thought about what it was that connected the viewers to the mains so much before. The story in itself plays a huge part in it, of course, but still, I have watched many TV shows with great storylines where I’ve fallen in love with the characters but never to the extent I’ve fallen for Skam characters, and especially the ones I’ve followed the stories live.

(And let’s be real here, how many of us thought that Skam ruined us for other TV-shows?)

Don’t you remember watching a Skam reactor or talking about the show with a friend who only watches the episode and thinking to yourself: “why don’t they get it? Why aren’t they freaking out like I did when that specific clip dropped?”

This is not to say that they won’t feel emotions by watching it, of course they do, but I truly believe it’s not with the same intensity and it’s all because they don’t live the in-between clips moments, they don’t experience the freak outs over new social media updates, they don’t experience the torturous wait and everything that us who do follow the show daily go through.

I think we get so much into the characters’ head because of the use of time. I know, it sounds kind of obvious, but is it really?

We know that the Skam format plays with time to tells its story. It’s not a secret, we all know how it works: a clip drops, we freak out, we watch it, we feel something right of the bat and then we stay with that specific emotion, a lot of questions and our over-analysing thoughts for who the fuck knows how long.

Sometimes it’s only a few hours. Sometimes it’s a day. Sometimes it’s an entire weekend. Sometimes it’s even longer than that. Bottom line is : we never know when we will have to run away from our personal lives and hide in the toilet to watch a clip.

It’s as glorious as it is pure torture.

it is absolutely fucking insane that people are criticizing taylor swift as a bad ally for making a music video in support of the equality act with the fab five, todrick hall, ellen degeneres, laverne cox, hayley kiyoko, chester lockhart, adam rippon, and billy porter in it.

get some motherfucking perspective, please. i am begging you. this woman has a sizeable conservative fanbase in the rural south. she just used her platform to put over a dozen of the most influential queer people in the fucking world in front of that audience. in support of legislatiom to end legal discrimination against us.

i don’t care if you don’t like her music. whatever. that’s fine. this is the literal goal of what an ally is supposed to be doing. standing in solidarity, giving us a platform despite the backlash from the conservative audience she is now facing, and promoting meaningful efforts to create equality. what the fuck more do you want her to do, face every homophobe in the country in single combat? jesus fucking christ, i’m tired.

SKAM France Renewal Celebration:

Friday : Other characters

I would love to see the effect of the bac coming on our characters, beacause no matter what types of student you are in highschool i swear the bac stress is coming to you whether you want it or no.Speaking about everyone will we go back to the common room or Le Crew and Le Gang will have a new objectif for their last year in highschool. What i’ve been thinking since we learnt that Arthur was going to be the main is that no matter who will be the next main after him (if we get a season 6) it can be anybody because Arthur have the power to be linked to every other  possible main characters. Eliott since that now he is part of the Gang and that over the time until the start of the season they will be friends and could share moment together. Via Basile he could end up knowing more about what’s going in Daphné’s life. And of course if he and Alexia end up being together we will get to know her better.  And of course i wanna know more about Basile as he is one of the character that i relate the most in the series and i know that behind his clown attitude he is different and i cannot wait also to see more of his friendship with Arthur. And now i wanna speak about Idriss and Sofiane i’m wondering how much we will see them, did they really relinked their friendship with Eliott and could they spend time with him and the boys? Are we only gonna see them at parties and such? No matter what i wanna see them on my screen again in season 5. And now speaking about relationship and development of it, will Lucas and Eliott move in together or not and thing are since that Eliott will not be in highschool anymore? How the relationship between Imane and Sofiane will be since we left them? Will Daphné open up to Basile about her personal problem? Are Yann and Chloé will be still together? Will Manon broke up with Charles?

Tuesday: Fave Arthur moments

What made me like him? Since the start he had that solar presence and that mystery around him. He is a supportive friend, he is mature, he is sassy, he is the mom figure of le gang and he have the funniest facial expression .And as the series continued i wanted to know more about him and i started to make theory about him and i was hoping the the series would get the series renewal so we could get to know him better and we will now.

Not taking anything away from the entire clip, but whomsoever said Axel and Maxence have no chemistry , please rewatch it in detail and re-evaluate your life lol, like they pop out even in the background, they are so seamless and in tune with each other that even when you know others might be acting their every interaction even though hazy is like witnessing a real couple in love, and kudos to their connection, acting and friendship which made this possible

Nothing can distract me like elu can. They are like a magnet, my eyes can’t helpt but go to them, whatever the circumstance may be. Maxence and Axel did that. This is not a matter of opinion, it’s a fact.

Are you seriously telling me that Druck is the only remake that has been renewed so far?? We’re going from 7 remakes at the same time, to possibly only one remake not being canceled. The audacity
