So I'm opening commissions. Prices vary, like extremely due to art style change. This is happening to try and speed up me getting a new phone, unlimited slots open just be patient in case theres a list.

I use cashapp, paypal, and venmo. Definitely prefer cashapp but I can make the others work if need be.

Cheapest would be a bust sketch at $5 while the most expensive piece would be $30 at a full body, fully colored, and semi-detailed background like the bottom right image. I have a lot of styles, please DM if interested <3

Arsenius Dark and his Vampirism

TW: Descriptions of essentially torture, cannibalism, and mutilation below the cut

Arsenius Dark was once human like any other, though he wasn't turned by normal means. Not at all.

Vampires are beings held in a state of undeath, where their blood is a poison and a cure. If a mortal were to consume it, they would both be killed and left in a state of undying. An anomalous trait that the Foundation has yet to understand, and the GOC tries to find allies within the community.

To turn, usually one would simply drink about 8 ounces of the liquid and sit through the unfortunate side affects of dying, losing teeth, regrowing said teeth, and the bloodlust that follows. A simple process, one that doesn't need monitoring as the poisons slowly change the structure of one's biology. The process takes about three days for one to become a full fledged vampire, much shorter than the half breed dhampyr's 4-6weeks turning period.

However, in Arsenius' case it was much different.

Darke prides himself in experimenting, and thus, Arsenius' turning was painful. Not only was he turned under the blue moon rather than crimson, he had vampire blood injected into his veins. He was forced to consume the hearts of others, and was used as a live cadaver for Darke to record the transformation of his organs by his own eye. Arsenius had bones replaced with other vampiric bones, and forced to consume other vile concoctions of vampiric DNA to see what affects it would have.

He was left cut open on the table for weeks, non-sedated and lucid until the transformation was deemed a success and he was stitched back together and thrown into the position of heir he was raised for.

Even then, his bat form was another thing to be studied. For it had been mutated past what was normal, larger than what should have been and much more wyvern-like than others. He was the definition of monster, and is forced to live with that and the scars given to him the day he was turned.

His only saving graces were tattoos that aided his survival, rather than instantaneous death from sunlight, garlic, and holy water? He instead has a mild allergic reaction thanks to magical tattoos of his own design. Sure a stake to the heart can kill him, but that's only if you can get close enough to land the last blow.

He's made from the flesh of a dead god, but he's very human aside from a few things

first snd foremost, he’s still immortal. after reaching roughly 25, his body slowed down aging significantly, meaning that his healing too had also slowed down a significant amount. he can keep papercuts for days or weeks sometimes. while he can bleed n be hurt, barely anythinng will actually kill him. he can heal anything but very very slowly, and he’s very annoyed by this

he’s also entirely colorblind; as in the world is black and white to him. there is very little need for perception of color where there's pretty much no light.

crepus' blood is also black and poisons any person who comes in contact with it. because it's black, he tends to blush black or gray. he looks a little more sickly than most people, but otherwise he's fine. the blood is rotted somewhat. a result of the pollution that killed "him" when he was a god (i say that like how wheat turned into flour is also the cake) so it doesn't Necessarily count as blood. it still does the whole "carry oxygen" thing but if you were to look at it, you'd find that most of it is ineffective, and it is severely contaminated by Something. probably oil.

the poison's effect doesn't necessarily kill directly, but it does cause extreme pain. however much pain a person can physically experience, even contact with a mere drop of his blood would force them to feel that all over their body. not everyone survives contact with it. except his boyfriend who tolerates it to make a point. he's still very much in pain, but he's too much a simp to care. and also his ego won't let him.

his heart is also extremely slow. he's barely alive despite being immortal. it still does pump, but probably about once a minute, in a slow rise and fall/relax and contract and not like an individual pulse every minute. "why" i want to

lastly, for now probably, is that he's cold. he's kind of corpse cold, so maybe about room temperature. he has no need to really maintain any particular temperature as long as he's not too hot or cold. he does still feel warmth and appreciates it.

additional edit: permanently hungry. he has a slight tolerance to less edible items but he used to be completely insatiable, and he still is to an extent. he doesnt need much food to survive, but he’s permanently starved no matter how much he consumes. in fact, his guilty pleasure is eating paper. he doesnt keep a paper shredder in his office—he kinda just folds it up and eats it. eating doesnt help much but he can’t help but give in sometimes, even if eating makes it feel Worse. he’s even eaten his own hands as a child (magically healed by his siblings dw) n may or may not habe taken a bite out of his boyfriend every so often

n he's based mostly on the all that glisters version of darke, and loosely the sandman by neil gaiman. this was before everything. and also i care very little for being all that original. i'm here to make myself and my wife happy.

using he/him pronouns because he's an awful father. no one could be this miserable except for a father, despite being agender n technically using all pronouns.

in either case, he's Darke of the Endless. the youngest of the endless. he is the representative being of knowledge, both known and unknown. he doesn't have a particular appearance to him, but he's most commonly seen as an unseen being beneath a hooded cloak. he has no footsteps but he clearly Walks. he seems to consume miasma during meals, but no one's sure if there's real reason to or if he's just being polite to his kids who are required to eat at the dinner table. he's faceless except to the bare few who he's shown his smile to. the most of a "entity" underneath the cloak is a hand that goes through his sleeve. a ghostly white, perhaps almost translucent hand, that's almost spider-like or skeleton-like. there's an extra joint to each finger and... generally he's just kinda weird to interact with as a mortal.

he rarely leaves his domain which he calls the sanctum. it is a technically infinite space that contains all recorded knowledge, both past, present, and future. there, he expands the knowledge as much as he can through his own experiments and work.

mc&d in comparison is his sort of weird hobby. yes, it consumes a fairly large amount of his time and energy, but doesn't every hobby that you really love? also it's how he gathers the materials he needs for his experiments.

he has several "children" who he tends to send to do what he needs. run the company, gather materials, so on so forth. they're also long running experiments. a puppet that can take on any body, a bone fairy isolated from fellow fae, a vampire born under the blue moon, and the (the puppet's more of an assistant than a child, but most of them are servants more than they are children)
