Clementine's Canon Blast fest

Rules

What is the Clementine's Canon Blast Fest? An official Clementine's server fest with the intention of exploring different canon divergent scenarios. This is NOT a masquerade. So feel free to write in your style and enjoy whatever you write.

There cannot be Canon Blast without canon, so it would be a requirement to start with at a point in time where Canon is exactly as we'd expect. Then, the canon change triggering event happens, and canon is never the same. Each potential edition will have a different canon destroying mechanism. There are general rules and maybe specific edition rules down the line. But don't expect much rule changes from one edition to other though.

General Guidelines

The rules that should be stable are:

1 - Canon MUST be exactly as we'd expect at the start of the fic. A trigger should happen at one point. Canon MUST NOT be the same after it. 2 - Word length without restrictions. But should be a new fic for the fest. And in case of long fics, a specific chapter should be considered for the rules or crossover (likely prologue/first chapter). The rest of the fic may be entirely set after the canon changing event. 3 - Any format, as long as it is a written fic. Poetry, songfic, screenplay, anything welcome 4 - Any genre 5 - Any ships or tropes allowed. 6 - Dark topics may be limited by edition. But rating will be set from G to M.

First Edition: Time Travel

For this first edition we are tackling the oldest of tropes: Time Travel. Thousands of wish fulfillment and dreadry scenarios exist in the time travel realm, but there is plenty more to explore

Specifics: What counts as Time travel for this fest? Anything (time period, time traveling methods, or characters) as long as the Canon is identical as we know it pre-travel, and altered afterwards:

Not Allowed:

Neville travels to the past, where Snape has always been a stripper. (Snape wasn't a stripper in canon)

Neville travels to the future but before his return his memories are erased so he can't cause Snape to turn into a stripper. (Canon has to be modified in the end)

Neville travels to a universe where Hogwarts is a stripper school, and Snape teaches pole dancing. (This needs to be Time travel, Not dimension travel. Move to a different time of canon, not a universe with different rules)

Allowed:

Neville travels to the past, where Snape is a professor, but due to future!Neville influence Snape decides to be a stripper now.

Neville travels to the future, where, due to Neville's prolonged absence, Snape becomes a stripper

Neville is trapped in time loop where Snape may turn into a stripper

Clementine's Kids: Our AU-Friendly Harry Potter Next-Gen Fest

We are proud to announce Clementine's Kids, our AU-Friendly Harry Potter Next-Gen Fest. A fest where you don't need to be married to common fanons, or to canon. Let your imagination fly.

Rules

Works should be set in the Harry Potter Universe.

Works should have a next-gen character in a prominent role (Either as PoV character or important supporting character).

A next-gen character for the effects of this fest is a character that was born after Harry started Hogwarts.

Minimum word count of 500 words, no maximum.

This fest is AU friendly. This means OCs are welcome and expected in most cases. This also means it’s not necessary for the fics to be canon compliant, you can write any canon divergence.

All ratings allowed, but common triggers should be tagged.

Fics should be original for this fest. You can also use your fest entry as the start of a long WIP. Spin-offs of older fics of yours are also welcome.

Fics are due September 5th.

Reveals start September 8th.

FAQ

Do the fics have to be canon compliant? No. This fest is AU friendly. You can write about canon next-gen, but you can also write about any canon divergence. If Hinny has only daughters, you can write that; If in your universe Hermione marries Krum, you can write that. As long there are any character born after Harry’s generation starts Hogwarts, it’s game.

Do I have to use one of the prompts? To submit you'll have to use a prompt because of the configuration of the collection. If you work doesn't follow any prompt, you can use the "Free style" prompt.

Can I submit multiple entries? Yes you can.
