Dr. Cox has been in the private practice of Optometry, in Beachwood, for the past 34 years. He was active in The Shaker Heights Rotary Club for over 20 years. He and his wife, Kathryn, have been married for over 30 years and have 2 daughters, one a nurse and the other a T.V. producer. He has extensive experience in eye examination, treatment of eye disease, surgical co-management, and the “difficult to fit” contact lens patient.

Laser-Assisted Intrastromal Keratomeleusis, or LASIK, is an advanced refractive surgical technique. In this technique, the outer layer of the cornea is lifted up to form a flap and the inner corneal tissue is reshaped with the laser. Air is then used to seal the flap. The whole procedure takes ten minutes and has a rapid visual recovery time.
