   “I’d be happy too!” Rei clapped her hands together with a warm grin spreading on her lips. “I’ve only ever done so with my daughter who has a baking thumb of her own, so it’d be nice to help you! Hah, you know I’ve been trying to get Shouto to bake myself but he’s never really picked it up.” She explained with a shrug.

“Maybe I could bribe you to show him the ropes instead.” She teased, wiggling her index finger from side to side. “He already thinks of you as another brother of his. He really does admire your leadership.” Oh she was really spilling all the tea on her own flesh and blood.

     he was already thinking about it being a good idea for him and shouto to spend some quality time with one another after hearing all the good he’s told his mother about him, he had to thank him somehow. so, bowing his head, iida had already agreed.

           “if he would want me to teach him, i’d be more than happy to bake with him.” a brother huh? iida was more than okay with having a brother more of his own age.

     he should have known that todoroki would have taken this seriously, iida had been trying to loosen up himself, so when he saw just how stiff his friend was, iida placed a hand on his shoulder.

           “i hope you know i was only teasing you, but i’m glad that you see me admirable enough to tell your mom about me. i’m honored to call you my friend as well!”

    “Such a kind young man.” Rei chuckled softly, timidly waving a hand at him sheepishly. “So I can tell when he writes to me. He looks up to you so much. In fact he’s told me before how he’s inspired by your courage especially after the incident with your brother…I and my husband both are very glad he’s making a good recovery. ”

“Oh and yes, please! That’d be so kind of you all.” She murmured with an apologetic smile. ‘’I’ve been looking for a new recipe for awhile now, I’d love to have some goodies, hehe.”

     though he was curious as to what all shouto had told her about him, the bringing up on what happened in hosu was a sore spot for the young man. but it was only a moment that it let it get to him as he was already back to his smiling self.

           “i’m glad that he’s making a recovery too,” though he knew tensei would never walk again, knowing that he was still alive was enough for the younger iida brother. iida was glad for the subject change though. “if you want, i’ve been working on my baking during my downtime, i’d love to swap some recipes.”

 “I’m honored to have someone like you keeping an eye on him like you do. I’m so thankful, sir. Thank you for keeping my son safe, young man. And I hope your big brother is doing well. I can make him some cookies if he’d like.” She offered timidly.

     this was the first time he’s ever met his friend’s mother, and now that he has, there was a smile on his face at how kind she was. he could very well hear the calmness of shouto’s voice in his mother.

            “i’m the one who should be honored! i’m glad to keep an eye on your son, he’s a very close friend of mine.” he would smile at the thought of her baking cookies for his brother. “i’m also sure the tensei would love being able to try one of your cookies, but only as long as you’re okay with getting some goodies back in return.”
