- the first: Eddie Diaz is in a psychiatric hospital and buck is his nurse, eddie ends up escaping by setting fire and they find themselves several months later as firefighters

-the second: after the proces, buck takes a vacation. He misses his plane which crashes. Everyone thinks he's dead because he turned off his phone
