She wished there were two of him handling these cases instead of her. Still, there's something nagging at her in the back of her head, something in her subconscious sees something her conscious doesn't.

She finishes the glass of water he'd poured her and shakes her head, "You're not in any kind of trouble." She replies as she slips her badge back into her pocket. "Honestly, I wish you had some kind of business card. I'm a bit out of my depth here."

Oriana wasn't too proud to admit when she'd gone beyond her capabilities, either. This had stopped being the precise, methodical detective work she specialized in hours ago. She watches him curiously, tilting her head slightly. "Oh, I bet we're going to be in the thick of it together now."

The moment his gaze landed on her ID, Miguel’s eyes widened. He hadn’t wasted a single thought on what she was doing out there before. All body and mind set to only one goal, which was killing that beast. Well… it didn’t work out as well as he’d hoped, but now that they were together in safety, and very much still alive and kicking, the questions started popping into his head.

He chuckled nervously waving his hand about dismissively. “I’m not in trouble, right?” The FBI! That was something he only knew from tv shows. What others would think of his daily life, hunting beasts and monsters, were the FBI to him. Something impalpable. Almost unreal.
