contrary to popular belief I think that Aizawa would enjoy (maybe begrudgingly) someone a bit overbearing. He’s stressed constantly and overworked- he easily forgets about himself and can’t be bothered beyond the basics. He’ll take the bentos you prepare with a small nod, be pushed into bed after long nights with few protests, and have a faint blush over his cheeks when you get him in the bath and wash his hair for him. It’s nice, he thinks, when he comes home and you greet him with warmth and a loving caress of his scarred cheek.

It takes him by surprise, that he doesn’t oppose your pushes or nags. “Loving suggestions” you correct when he comments on them. He scratches at his stubble, more well kept thanks to you, and silently agrees. He responds in kind- short texts of well-being when he’s on patrol, gentle kisses when he leaves in the early mornings, quiet affirmations that you’re doing your best. They come slowly, unfamiliar territory to him, but he falls into it with you. It happens one night with his head resting against your chest, eyes heavy with sleep as you run your fingers through his hair. Thank you, he mutters so quietly that you almost miss it. Your fingers don’t falter their combing, you don’t tense or make excited comments. You just smile and hum in acknowledgment. He doesn’t comment on your heart fluttering loud and quick in his ears.
