Comfort (Sus Gabriel x reader)

The fanfic that I was working on got deleted (cause I didn’t save it) so now I’m rewriting it :) Also, this is my first fanfic that i’ve written so sorry if I made Gabe too ooc or the story is bad :,)

Warning (s): a bit of angst, then fluff stuff; Gabriel murder ing an alternate 

         Gabriel was flying to your house with a gift in his hand. You gave him gifts all the time, so he decided that he wanted to reciprocate the action. “I don’t see why mortals give each these ‘gifts’ ”, Gabriel said. “They’re just meaningless materials that’ll soon rot away and mean nothing.” He said as he saw you put white lilies in a vase. “Well, just because the gift is meaningless, doesn’t mean the feelings and thoughts put into it were. Yes, gifts can soon rot away, but when you give something thoughtful to someone you love, when you show your appreciation to the person you love, those feelings aren’t meaningless, or at least, in my opinion.” You said as you set some groceries down on your kitchen counter. “Those lilies reminded me of you, and I bought them because of it.” “Why do flowers remind you of me?” “I dunno, they just did.” Gabriel had this thought on his mind ever since. He soon arrived at your house and landed on your roof. He saw the window open, (for him, as usual) then crawled inside your window and shut it back. “Hm, it’s late at night, (reader) should be asleep, unless they’re up being busy..again. Hopefully they aren’t, else i’all have to lull them to sleep again.” Gabriel thought to himself. He walked downstairs to find your room. 

Your heart was palpitating as your hands were trembling. You tried to get your hyperventilation under control but failed. Your chest rised and fell heavily as you  cowered in bed. Just a few moments ago, you were playing some games on your phone, until you heard something knock on your door calmly, saying, “(Reader), I have a present for you! Let me in!” You didn’t open the door, instead, you froze. The thing started to knock on the door harder, “(Reader), I have a present for you! “Darling! I’m here!” Gabriel said as he appeared into your room. His eyes soon landed on your form and he felt like the soul he thought he never had drop. He put the gift on your dresser. “Darling, are you alright??” You tried to answer, but it only came out in broken sentences. “Hey, look at me. Breathe with me, alright? Let’s take a deep breath. Breathe in” You both took a breath in for 4 seconds. “And breathe out,” You both took a breath out for 8 seconds. Breathe in” You both took a breath in for 4 seconds. “And breathe out,” And you both took a breath out for 8 seconds again. You both repeated this 4 more times, until you gradually calmed down. “Dove, what happened?” He sat on your bed and gently put his hand on your cheek, and you leaned into it. “A-an alternate..in our home..” You replied. Gabriel was upset, but understood quickly. “ I’ll be right back, my dear,” “No, I need you to stay..” “I will be back, I promise, but right now, I need to take care of an error. For right now, lock the door. I’ll come back to your room in 30 minutes.” Gabriel gave you a forehead kiss and got off your bed and walked out your room. You got up from your bed and locked the door. Gabriel flew out of the house and noticed an alternate that was outside your window. He recognized that to be the alternate that attacked since he told every alternate to not touch you, nor even to go near your house. He landed on the ground softly and grabbed the alternate by its neck and flew somewhere far away from your house. He flew very high into the sky and started to reveal his true form, stretching out his facial appearance. And with that, he dropped the alternate to the ground, watching it’s body go ‘splat!’ as it collided with the ground. Gabriel soon flew away, returning his features back to normal as he flew back to your house. He soon landed on your roof, and dissolved into thin air, reappearing in your house. “Darling, I’m here now,” he said. He saw your gaze and looked at where you were looking, at the moving gift box. “Ah! You noticed the gift I made for you!” He piped up, breaking the silence. He walked to the dresser and picked up the box. “Here, for you!” He chirped. Haha bird go brr  “What is it?” You asked. “Open it, I made it myself!”  He beamed. You opened the box and saw the most adorable thing in the world, well, to you. You picked a puppy with 4 eyes, 6 limbs, and two tails. “Aw! Gabe, they’re so cute!! I love them!” You smiled warmly. “What should we name them?” “ Hm…how about (Dog’s name?) Gabriel answered quizzically. “That’s a wonderful name! Hello (Dog’s name)! Hello!” “Arfwa! Arfwearf!” (Dog’s name) barked. “And they have such a cute bark too!” You exclaimed. “I love them, thank you Gabriel!” “Ah, it’s no worry dear, I just wanted to show you my appreciation! I mean, when I made your gift, I thought of you, because I wanted to make him as adorable as possible” Gabriel babbled. “Well, I love them, and I appreciate you thinking of me!” You said as you gave Gabriel a peck on the lips. “My lovely divine being of deceit.” “Of course, my dove.” He smiled and hugged you, wrapping his wings around you. “No one will touch you ever again, my dear.” He thought to himself and smiled Hello! Imagine if, instead of buying NFTs, those people “adopted” wild animals, zoo animals, or animals in rescue and rehabilitation and get to help great causes and conservation AND get cute photos and stuffed animals and updates about the animals they’re supporting.
