The Marijuana Enforcement Division “MED” in Colorado clarifies the meaning for “curbside” service. It can actually include front door service: MED CLARIFIES MODIFICATIONS FOR CURBSIDE SERVICES Medical and Retail Marijuana Stores seeking to provide “curbside” service pursuant to the Emergency Rules, but at a location that creates limitations for “curbside” service (for example, Medical and Retail Stores without a private parking lot or facing a public sidewalk) may consider making temporary modifications to their Licensed Premises to facilitate sales and pick-up transactions in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Emergency Rules and applicable state-issued orders. For example, temporary modifications may facilitate sales and pick-up transactions at the immediate entryway of the Store. Licensees should continue to consult with local jurisdictions concerning this as well, and we will continue to monitor developments. We are in constant contact with MED officials and the governor’s office. If you have questions, please contact us. Cannabis is deemed an essential business in California, Colorado, Washington and many other states. With cannabis curbside pickups packed and bars giving margaritas to go... how will the states ever turn this back? It’s a system that works, it’s essential, and now that has been proven. After all it is safer at home. Is the industry closer to receiving federal approval by being deemed an essential business? #Repost @harvard_business_review ・・・ As the spread of Covid-19 dominates the news and our lives, we have all seen and experienced the parallel spread of anxiety. Indeed, in a crisis, our mental state often seems only to exacerbate the challenge, becoming a major obstacle in itself. How can we change this? Mindfulness experts Rasmus Hougaard and Jacqueline Carter show how the mind’s response to crisis is a choice we can control. They offer three strategies for restoring ourselves and building mental resilience: 1) First, calm the mind. When you focus on calming and clearing your mind, you can pay attention to what is really going on around you and what is coming up within you. You can observe and manage your thoughts and catch them when they start to run away towards doomsday scenarios. 2) Look out the window. Try to meet your negative feelings with reflection versus immediate reaction. Your mind needs space to unhook from the swirl of bad news and to settle into a more stable position. Reflecting can help you find clearer answers about how best to move forward, both personally and as a leader. 3) Connect with others through compassion. The present climate of fear can create a dark, survivalist “everyone for themselves” mindset, making us forget about our shared vulnerabilities. But meaningful connection can occur even with the recommended social distancing, and it begins with compassion. Ask yourself one question as you go about your day and connect — virtually and in person — with others: How can I help this person to have a better day? — Adapted from "Build Your Resilience in the Face of a Crisis," by Rasmus Hougaard et al. #Repost @greenhaus_industries ・・・ #Regram from @growlinkcontrollers Growing Up Instead Of Out! More plants mean more work and more potential for human error. There is no point in expanding a crop if the new plants are going to suffer due to lack of attention, lack of labor, or lack of ability to handle the expansion. Unfortunately, it isn’t uncommon for indoor farms to fail for exactly that reason. The solution is to implement automated controls as much as possible, reducing or eliminating the potential for human error and maximizing the chances of large, healthy yields. Advances in crop sensors, control units, and automated systems have shifted agriculture from an art to a science, and it’s now possible for growers to automatically monitor and control their operations with such accuracy that it’s possible to ensure each individual plant is getting the exact amount of water, light, nutrients, and air that it requires. Vertical growing offers a highly promising solution to limited ground space and it’s rapidly gaining in popularity as a result. The future may very well be one in which the majority of crops are grown vertically indoors, but for now, expanding into otherwise wasted vertical space is a great way for growers both big and small to significantly boost their yields without having to expand their physical footprint. @greenhaus_farmer @bforcefarms @greenhaus_industries #indoorgrow #verticalfarmingsystem #verticalfarmingrevolution #indoorgrown #cannabisgrower https://ift.tt/2TY0Mke

"If we legalized marijuana nationally — effective this week — and provided a pathway home for people being held on cannabis-related charges, we could reduce the prison population by 40,000 nationally."
