As I approached, I realised that in the darkness was a figure. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the silhouette was in fact, Tony. None of the lights were on. There was whiskey on the table. We have lots of whiskey in the manor.

What do you think of the fools who think jesters and clowns are the same?

To call Clowns and Jesters the same thing is not to compare apples and oranges, but rather to compare oranges and lemons. While they are both whimsical and wonderful creatures that bring mirth to the people around them, Clowns and Jesters are fundamentally different.

This can be witnessed through shape language.

A Clown is comprised of circular shapes, they are very round.

Jesters have triangles!!!

To answer your question, I think that people who believe Jesters and Clowns to be the same thing should be sent to the Dungeon to reflect on their beliefs until they are prepared to be educated correctly.

To keep my wonderful citizens informed, I have helpfully put together this small history lesson on both Clowns and Jesters for you all.

The main distinction between Clowns and Jesters is the difference between modern and historical entertainers. Jesters were predominantly popular during the medieval era, where they performed for noble families. The term 'Jester' first came into use during the 16th century, though comedy entertainers existed long before, present in places like Ancient Rome and Egypt, as well as the Imperial Court of China. The last Court Jester was a man named Dicky Pierce, who performed in at Berkley Castle until 1728, when he fell (or was pushed) from a window and died.

The development of Clowns, on the other hand, is rooted in Commedia Dell'Arte, a form of Italian theatre that flourished in the 16th to 18th century, largely pantomime and slapstick. The first 'official' Clown is recorded to be Joseph Grimaldi, said to be the father of modern European Clowning, who developed the iconic white face and red lips look for his Clown, Joey.

Since then, the Clown has developed into what it is today, and as such, birthed me. Clown Lord. Your fearless leader.

hello almighty Clown Lord, I am a novice clown come from goosism, although my great-great-uncle knew something of clownery as he painted many a portrait of them (whether in admiration or in kinship is unknown to me)
