listen man somepony’s gotta be there to comfort the princess, alright? and the dolls, too. it’s not fair to leave them alone without little magic beings to care for them

we’ve made so many posts in our head, gone through so many lifetimes and possibilities, answered so many asks in our head, so when real things happen- actual asks, actual interactions, actual actions -it can be a bit jarring

i might not talk to irl people all the time, but i talk to them in my head a lot. sometimes the conversations are ones i wish we had together! other ones make me upset. and sometimes they are very sad or angry conversations. i dont like when theyre sad or angry conversations.

now that that’s out of the way…

let’s talk about the garden

the garden is a place i wish we could physically go to.

it has a swing, stepping stones, grass, flowers, bushes, a white wooden gate, shrubs, a pond, a river, fairies, and crystals that glow various colors.

imagine being there, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the peace and quiet being there would bring

the grass there isn’t itchy or uncomfortable, either. it’s moreso a set piece of greenery to fill out the lushness of the world.

sometimes the grass isn’t green and the garden looks like the backyard of a family friend of ours. sometimes the garden looks like other back gardens that we found solace in when we were younger.

we get to go to the garden in our head, thankfully. it helps us calm down when things get to be too much all at once.

i wish i could invite others to our garden. it can be a bit lonely despite there being so many of us.

there’s only one swing i know of, but… maybe i can build another, for a friend.

imagine:

a doll that blinks “automatically” by having eyelid mechanisms that work on a timer.

the doll works as normal for its first few years of being, but over time the mechanism wears down, until the eyelids eventually click shut for one last time, never to open again.

last night my partner held a somber little passover seder to show me what it’s about and when they got to the part where they were supposed to open the door for elijah they paused, frowned, and said “oh. huh. there is a clown.” and I looked out. and sure enough. there was a clown.

I just want to say that you basically described my feelings about it too. I do support my friends and I am glad they enjoy it
