Is the little shaky hand thing alex has does in interviews over the years a stick or just drugs bc he’s been doing it for so long that it’s pretty much impossible for it to be drugs but nobody seems to agree with me

Nah. To me he just looks like he’s just deeply feeling the music, y’know? Like in this one where it looks as if the guitar keeps biting him. That’s his music face. Like this one with the piano. Or like in this one where he’s playing every instrument with his face alone.

Or maybe this one where he’s holding his head.

I imagine he’d look more like this if he’s overwhelmed, I think. But, he could be doing it on purpose like one of his bits. Who knows?

Then again, I don’t know the guy, so all of this could be completely incorrect.

sorry ive never heard of this but i went and watched about 20 teddy picker performances and noticed that he almost always has his hands already on the fret board

except on these 2 occasions where he did the same thing

This is from a 2007 interview:

The UK smoking ban kicked in on July 1. Has it bothered you?

Matt: "Nick's the only one of us that smokes."

Nick: "Oi, my mum reads this!"

Matt: "(Back-tracking hastily) Like I said, Nick doesn't even smoke."

Nick: "I agree with it, even though I do smoke. I think it's a good thing."

Alex: "You get weird smells now, I reckon."

Matt: "We were reading about that place where they give out free deodorant because you smell people more now in bars."

Nick: "It's a good way to meet new people outside I've found. And it someone's getting on your nerves you can just say. 'Right, Im going outside for a cigarette."

Alex: "I think it will become less strict in a few years. 'Cos like in New York they've had it a bit longer and they turn a blind eye to it some places there now.”
