Sometimes I imagine Kiolle Awakening and his power is super intelligence or acute political awareness then i remember he's too stupid (said lovingly) to be aware of what he lacks so he would never awaken and I cry 😭

I'm obsessed with Nine Puzzles but the best part (beside the plot, the MAJESTIC cinematography, the vibes...) is probably the music. God I LOVE IT, my autistic brain can't get enough of it (there are 46 tracks in the album GOD! They released everything!!)

So. I'm reading BLDS and if I was pretty sure I'd die the first 5 mns of a disaster, reading this novel convinced me I wouldn't last 5 seconds.

Park Muhyeon and Shin Haeryang's dynamic makes me think a bit about Kim Soreum and Lee Jaheon (my favorite character!!! You go Mister Space Lizard 💜), especially with the "Can you elaborate more please?" Muhyeon needs to ask every time to obtain any kind of information from Haeryang xD Also with the way Muhyeon is like the biggest scaredy cat ever but still does a hell of a good job saving people.

The quote "I may not be brave but I'm not a coward" stayed with me. Yeah, Muhyeon-ssi, there's this guy named Soreum I'd like to introduce to you, I'm sure you'll have a lot to talk about ^^

Anyway.. in chapter 150 there's a very interesting discussion between Muhyeon and Haeryang about how Muhyeon wants to save everyone, even people who were pointing their guns at him 5 mns ago...

"We can’t continue to take these internal risks when there are external enemies," Haeryang says

And I get him. Although his heart is in the right place, Muhyeon is putting the people on his team in danger. But I also get Muhyeon. I know I'm naive to a fault and the bad characters in the novel may be a bit of a caricature of villains with them taking up guns and stuff just to kill "people they don't like" (despite knowing this kind of people exist). But I'd still want to save them and make sure they get what they deserve in front of a judge or a jury. And it's unfair how this shitty world doesn't work like that because not only Muhyeon is making his team take up responsibility for these people (even if he tries to shoulder as much as he can of it) who will turn their back on them at the first occasion, but even if Muhyeon succeeds... these people probably won't even face a trial because politics and that seawater under base is co-directed by 8 (iirc) different countries ^^ *sigh*

It's a really interesting read. Themes like racism, nationalism, what it means to be a human, the value of a human who has no immediate use in a disaster, who should take responsibility for a kid who didn't ask to be in a place of a disaster, what is a religion, what responsibility do we have towards animals amid a disaster, environmental crisis and a little bit of politics and how it influences people are quite extensively explored and despite the stress of it all, it's really well done! The characters are well written and multi-dimensional even the secondary ones that appear briefly. There are cute and laughable moments too so I'm really enjoying my read so far ^^

Does Kishiar die if he doesn’t seize any opportunity to make himself out to be a damsel in distress.

There are like 3 different instances of him acting like he’s some maiden in love who needs her knight to save her that I remember from the top of my head.
