I feel like a lot of folks who are only familiar with Phineas and Ferb via the memes get the impression that one of the show's central gags is about the titular characters gaslighting their sister, but that's not what's happening at all. They're generally 100% open about what they're doing, and lots of people know about it. Even their dad is frequently in the loop. It's the mom in particular who absolutely refuses to believe that anything unusual is going on, and while part of that is due to the evidence having a tendency to vanish right before she walks into the room, there's also a lot of refusal to entertain the possibility involved – heck, there are multiple episodes where the boys admit what they're doing to her face, and she just dismisses it as them doing a bit.

Basically, what's being sent up in the show is not "brothers gaslighting their sister", but "eldest daughter whose mother never believes her about anything, even when disbelief requires wilful blindness to what's happening right in front of her face". Which is still kind of a fucked up thing to be playing for laughs, of course, but you can see where some folks would find her worryingly relatable!

I think grabbing an angel's halo should feel like choking to them. That is the conduit of their power it should feel stifling, restricting, like something has been cut off! I want to run my finger along that blinding circle of light and watch their eyes shoot open in panic as they feel the tightness shoot across their whole body

aro culture is thinking certain songs fit perfectly for a sibling pair but not being able to say that without seriously over explaining yourself cuz the songs most obvious interpretation is romantic love like guys plz!! theres so many great songs that could fit amazingly with siblings/other family pairings/generally platonic pairs if u just look past the most obvious interpretation!!

I think the biggest thing mascot horror things need to get a grip on is the reasonable balance of cute/creepy. The mascot in question needs to be cute enough to realistically be for children but scary enough to actually make for effective horror. Most games always lean too far in either direction and idk maybe it's just me but immersion with these kinds of games are important for me to actually find enjoyment in them.

i can't be the only one who's just straight-up ... bored with women hating themselves. my mom keeps lamenting to me how upset she is about her gray hair. my friend stares at her laugh lines every day in agony. my sister loses sleep over the horrible unbearable thought of looking fat. and every time these women i love open up to me, i can't help but think ... then stop staring at yourself? stop drowning yourself, narcissus, and just fucking live your life instead of sitting in front of a mirror obeying cosmetic corporations' lies. just stop it. this is getting ridiculous. you're too smart to be falling for this bullshit. "oh no but these men who hate women told me that if i'm ugly i'm worthless!" girl if you actually believe that then good luck. but i am getting worse at being supportive of people whose nonsense worldviews keep them trapped in pain. stop looking at yourself start fucking living i am pleading you deserve to be happy and it is stupid that you disagree
