When your best isn't good enough

You spend ten years doing what you love, leading and mentoring and pushing those individuals to be the best versions of themselves. You love and care and fight for them like they are an extension of yourself.

Then comes a time when you have to move on. Those you mentor become your peers, and you are no longer required to lead. So you get stuck in an admin position that you never wanted because it's supposed to be good for your career. But, what happens when it's not?

When you are born to lead, this is 100% detrimental to you as a person and your career. You lose interest in your job, and who you are. You begin to lack communication with your leadership, begin to be difficult to track down, submissive to anything to include your own career.

You weren't this way before. You were a strong leader. Headstrong, loud, the alpha. The one everyone wanted to be, and now you want nothing to do with yourself. You work hard at work, but only so much. You're just done...
