This little one acts completely feral unless you make the "mommy greeting kittens" noise at them. When my phone isn't making them unsure they will come charging to the front of the cage for attention by the second trill.

Guardians of Ga’Hoole is one of my favorite xenofictions because it takes the natural consequences of giving animals human intelligence and has them build full on civilizations and empires and I think more xenofiction should do that. Domestic cats are perhaps one of the most overused animals. But there really is still a lot of wasted potential with them.

(By the way, I'm a little tired of the constant romanticization of feral cats). Many times it's just stereotypes and misconceptions about them.

There can still be stories about, their colonies, their relationship with man (Cats may not be "man's best friend", but that they hate their human companions is a very imbecilic idea), how they have changed and affected (negatively) nature and their relationship with it etc.

BUT, not only pet cats

What about wild cats? You have the wildcat, the ancestor of our domestic cat, but which people seem to ignore that it exists or still lives. Not just this one, there are the other members of its genus.

And BEYOND that, there are many, many interesting wild cats to work on. You have mountain cats, desert cats, jungle cats, swamp cats, fishing river cats, etc.

spidersquirrel is the best thing i've ever come up with because. you see. spiderleg is possibly the most apathetic husband in the world. worlds first transmasc absentee father. but like i think after dating ashfur and brambleclaw the worlds first transmasc absentee father is literally the ideal man for her. squilf brings the three home and spiderleg goes "don't make me visit them in the nursery" to which she responds "babe I don't even plan on visiting them in the nursery". they get together because spiderleg is squilfs only friend her age and when she's on bad terms with both ash and bramble she rants to him like "god they're both so annoying i mean at this point i might as well just date YOU" and he says "why don't you then" without looking at her and now they're married. they have made eye contact once.
