This Blog is dedicated to posting updates for "Bignose's Home" a comic based on a lifegen playthrough with premade characters!
This comic will follow the general style of other Clangen comics, however it will differ in the fact that I do have an idea of where I want the story to go and I am using the events in game more as a suggestion!
Read on ComicFury!
---
You can call me Cryptid/Sam! I use he/they/she pronouns! I'm a 21 yr old graphic design student and am often very busy but I'm hoping to have enough time to update somewhat regularly!
My main Warriors blog is @cryptidclaw ! And I post non-warriors stuff @clowncryptids
Bignose's Origins:
Bignose appears in my previous comic @whispering-clan HOWEVER all events in the Whisperingclan comic are NO LONGER CANON as it is being rewritten! Bignose and his clan are no longer a part of Whisperingclan's story and Whisperingclan will not be in this comic. I wanted the chance to explore Bignose's story on its own and to it's full potential!
Bignose as a character originated before Whisperingclan and has been an OC of mine for a while, along with his mother and brother! He is one of my most beloved characters and I am very exited to give him a story!
Here is his origin post!

Honey is a comic based on my run on clangen (lifegen). I think I'll slowly post it here on tumblr, but it'll update faster on Comicfury.
This is not a Warrior Cats comic! They're just cats.

children's xeno fiction is wild bc it will feature intense politics and wars but it gets labelled as being for kids bc the characters dramatically dying on the field of battle r like cats or owls

Can someone pleeeease talk to me about my Appalachian Clangen inspired comic idea that isn't actually Warriors but is adjacent....blease...I'm friends with too many normal people who didn't live and breathe Warriors books and animations as a kid so I've got no one to yap about it to. Anyway, these are my current specimens I've designed. Would be a plus if you know anything about coloring and lettering as well 😬

Concept: a kaiju movie but the protagonists are Redwall-esque mice and the monsters are just normal animals like elephants and bears, complete with all the destruction and drama of a kaiju movie.

One of my biggest petpeeves when it comes to xenofiction and xenofiction roleplay, is what I can only call the felinification of canines.
Whenever it comes to fighting, canines will often use their claws to scratch their foes or scar them. When it comes to biting, the damage is often muscle deep at the worst and the wounds mostly just bleed a lot.
This ignores so much of what makes canines so deadly over giving them the same deadly traits as a feline. A (wolf relative) canine can easily break the bones of their foes in a single bite and often the deadliest thing they can do is not let go. As for claws, while they can leave shallow scratches, canine claws are dull and are used for digging and running. Feline claws are sharp because they do not use them for running or digging, literally keeping them safe until they need to be used. I understand that internal injuries are often a step too far for most media, and that broken bones and bruises aren't hardcore enough. But I still think there could be a balanced depiction of a canine that uses their actual anatomy and doesn't just paste feline traits on them.

A species of blep from cold steppes. Like most species of furred tetrapods, it keeps its young in a pouch for months until they are hardy enough to run about and eat solid food. It eats lichens, roots and mosses primarily, but is an opportunistic scavenger if those prove scarce. It lives in groups of variable sizes, with complex familial dynamics, but these groups can be spread out over great distances; they communicate by loud bellows that cover long distances despite great winds.

A reference sheet of Ozwald I made for Art Fight! He's an ex-dragonslayer turned king's knight. An apathetic warrior with a sweet tooth. (Also the protag of my next story!)

Fox Species Guide
Further notes:
Social Structure
Fox society is largely built around four main ranks, the Ur, the dominant foxes of a skulk, the Tena, caretakers of the den, the Tiro, juveniles within the skulk, and Tiris, transient foxes with no skulk.
Ur - The den is ran by two foxes, the Ekur and Enur, the ekur is the head of the den, guarding the territory the most out of all of its residents. The enur is their second-in-command, they are in charge of the tena, as well as being the primary caretakers of the young of the den. .
Tena - The tena are unmated vixens within the den, typically these are the sisters of the Ur, though they may also be their daughters, or even tiris vixens who decided to join the skulk. They do most of the food gathering, den maintenance, and can typically be found babysitting the skulks tiro.
Tiro - The young of the skulk, any fox under the age of a year will fit under this category, they have no primary duties, and will typically spend their time playing or generally learning adult skills, taught by the whole skulk.
Tiris - Once a fox reaches one year of age they begin to leave their original skulk to form their own or to find a mate. These skulkless foxes are called tiris, and will typically wander quite far from their original homes. Skulks are generally pretty welcome to having tiris stay with them temporarily should they need a den, however males are expected not to linger, though vixens may be invited to join the skulk if their behavior is respectful.
Naming System
Fox kits are named at 4 weeks, typically given names of flora surrounding their dens, as foxes are found all over the continent their names can vary quite a lot. Ex. Goldenrod, Pasque, Ficus
Due to the plentiful nature of their species they will take on a skulk name for further identification within their own species, this name is taken by all foxes within the skulk. These names usually include two parts and will draw inspiration from their territory, or a trait the ur find particularly admirable. Ex. Rowanleaf for a skulk living close to a rowan tree, or Broadclaw, if the ur are particularly adept at fighting. Tiris foxes will usually drop their skulk name and not give themselves a new one until their new den is created.
Some foxes who have particularly strong pride for their birthplace will give themselves titles relating to their home, alongside their skulk name, Ex. Frogbit Broadclaw of the Pines, though this is uncommon and many foxes see this as unnecessary vanity.

AF Attack for @jayrockin!
My headcannon is that Talita was taught how to read Portuguese in homeschooling, before choosing to switch to on-campus schooling and subsequently becoming very rusty in it. Here she's reading a reprint gibi* of Turma da Monica (featuring a scan of my own copy of the gibi I've had since childhood). I think Cebolinha would've been her favorite from the turma because she's interested in his meticulous "infallible plans".
*gibi means comic!
